All the official remedies failed, so I took it out, vacuumed the vents, and dropped it on the floor a couple of times. And it started. I’m assuming it’s on borrowed time though.

One concern: It’s immediately doing an update. Anyone else had one today, or am I going to find it has reset itself to factory settings due to the failure?

There hasn't been an update since mid-December.

Thought not. Seems like it’s a regular thing when the power supply fails. It died again during the update. Managed to get it working by unplugging the two portable drives to reduce the power drain, but I’m expecting more failures. Guess it’s time to upgrade to that 1X.

I unsubscribed from the preview program yesterday because my console was downloading updates from 400mb-4GB literally daily. Every time I turned the console on I'd have to wait for 30-odd minutes while it installed They always seem to take so long compared to the PS4. It's weird. Good job I only wanted to watch Netflix and I could watch it on literally everything else

The Preview progamme is just not worth it tbh.
