Yeah that's alright. No interest in old Xbox games sadly.

The only one of the rumoured ones that I wanted was Cobalt, so that’s a bit of a pisser.

EDIT: And I’ve just realised that I should still be able to get it with a region swap.

Not a great month, but then if you have Xbox Game Pass does it really matter what GwG has?

Rumour -

The 'Xbox Maverick' console will be named 'Xbox One S All-Digital Edition,' preorders in April 2019

First detailed by Brad Sams, Microsoft has been experimenting with a discless Xbox One S console codenamed Xbox Maverick, with a launch window thought to be around Q1 2019. According to our sources, we now know a little bit more about the timing and marketing name of this intriguing new console.
Microsoft is reportedly set to call the discless Maverick console the "Xbox One S All-Digital Edition," with preorders aiming for mid-April 2019, and with general availability coming in early May 2019. It looks as though it could be near-global simultaneous launch for almost all existing Xbox markets.

The discless Xbox One S would be a first for the company, offering fans the ability to ditch discs altogether and go all-in on digital game licenses. As Microsoft pushes for greater access to its game library via things like the Xbox Game Pass digital subscription and the incoming streaming service Project xCloud, dropping the disc drive from the "All-Digital Edition" should make it the cheapest Xbox console yet, although we have no word on pricing just yet, or whether the console will see any design refinements beyond simply dropping the disc drive

Xbox One S All-Digital Edition. That’s going to be a smooth operator.

I also read that Samsung are the first manufacturer to cease production of blue ray discs and 4k players.

I really do believe next gen will be the last for disc based platforms.

It's not a Deal With Gold so it should be the same price for all. You'll need Live to get the most out of Paradise though, surely?

So bought.

I played it back in the day as a single player experience. It was pretty fun still.

I have about £4 of credit expiring next Thursday and no Rock Band DLC to burn it on

Not sure whether to grab:
  • Mass Effect Andromeda
  • Burnout Paradise
  • Plants v Zombies DLC so the game is less grindy
  • Leave the credit till next Tuesday on the off-chance there's a good sale on (but miss out on the above for under £1)

Protip - there is a period where both sales are in effect, sale prices end at 10am on Tuesday but the new sale usually starts a few hours before this.

Oh nice one! It's 10am every week and doesn't fluctuate sometimes? I always thought that it happened early Tuesday for us when Major Nelson announced the sale for that week!

In which case I'll set a reminder for myself next Tuesday morning to check the sales and make my decision :toot:

Yep, 10am on the dot. Sales are always live before Major Nelson actually announces them, TrueAchievements is where I usually get the info first thing Tuesday morning.
