Forza Horizon 6 is free with games for gold, and all the DLC is £4 for the next 3 days. Not sure if that offer will get extended. But i thought it was good so took it.

I had bought the Nascar DLC when it was cheap months ago, so now ive got the Porsche one too. These story modes are quite interesting with the slick presentation and voice overs. I also like looking at the leaderboards and seeing by how much ive beaten all the people on my friends list. A good change of handling and scenery from horizon. The down sides are the dodgy mod cards you can buy, and menus are slow. Forza 6 is a good game, and I think its worth it.

I went with getting all the DLC too, isn't it usually about £8 a pack so about £70 odd worth.

I just bought three season passes in the sale - Batman: Arkham Knight, Forza 6 and Deus Ex: Mankind Divided. Great bargain prices, but I now have 136 items in my download queue.

World War Z is in the weekly games with gold sale.

I seem to be the only one on my friends list whose got it. I've managed to beat the levels on hard with randoms but think it needs some proper communication to beat it on very hard do it would be good if some of you banana splits bought it.

If you liked Left 4 Dead I think you'd like this.

Hitman Season 1 & Earth Defense Force 2025 will be the first set of Games with Gold for September according to the weekly Xbox show with Larry - https://www.youtube.com/watch?v=flS8PFZtfow

Also ID@Xbox has launched its own channel -

Today marks the launch of the ID@Xbox YouTubechannel! Click here to give it a visit. With this channel, we are going to present the very best in Independent games coming to Xbox One and Windows PC, and maybe even some fun original programming along the way. ID@Xbox has been around since 2013 (ed – holy cow has it been that long?). The very first ID@Xbox game, Strike Suit Zero, shipped on April 4, 2014, and since then we’ve helped Independent developers, both big and small, launch nearly 1,500 games on Xbox.

We know there’s a community out there that’s passionate about Independent gaming – we interact with them every day on social media, at shows and events, on Mixer, and in games. And we’re extremely passionate about Independent games ourselves, if you hadn’t guessed! With this channel we simply want to share stuff that we think is awesome and see what you think. Please feel free to jump in the comments and let us know what you like and want to see more of, and what games you’re excited about.

We’ve created a video to celebrate the launch – check it out to meet some members of the ID@Xbox and hear what some of our favorite games are. The ID@Xbox YouTube channel is live now and don’t forget to subscribe so you don’t miss any of the amazing content from Independent games going forward.

https://gears.rockstarenergy.com/ is now operational. Purchase a special edition can of Rockstar Energy (99p) and it’ll unlock 7 days of Xbox Live Ultimate and in-game Boosts for Gears 5, along with an entry into a daily prize draw to win a digital copy of Gears 5 and Gears Xbox One X consoles. A second can will unlock another 7 days of Xbox Live Ultimate and more Boosts, cans 3 to 4 more Boosts, and can 5 limited edition weapons.

Drink responsibly kids (or die of a heart attack trying to win something).

I want to get it, but I'm not entirely sure how much I'll actually play it. I loved the previous games, but the amount of time I actually spent on them definitely wouldn't make anyone think I did. It's cheap, so there's that, and the new content drops will at least keep me playing up until the true release.

I am curious if this is a model that EA are considering for future games, or if this is just a one-off.

I’m in. There seems to be a load more single-player content this time. I wouldn’t be surprised if they have a free-to-play element planned.

I'll more than likely get it tomorrow, anyway. It's been a while and I doubt the other games have servers full of people. And the solo stuff does look good. More like an adventure game than a shooter campaign.

Select October Update Features Rolling Out to Insiders

Image

Wish List Notifications
We’re so happy to see everyone enjoying the Wish List feature on the Microsoft Store! The October update is adding more to this feature, starting with notifications that alert users when an item in their Wish List has a price discount. We know how exciting it is when a game you want goes on sale. The new Wish List notifications will make sure you never miss a great deal.

Mixer Viewing Improvements
Mixer and Xbox One are integrating further with the 1910 update. We’ve built a full Mixer viewing experience right into the dashboard, with a focus on speed and simplicity. Viewers will no longer have to navigate to a separate app to enjoy their favorite streamers. Getting to the Mixer content you want to watch has never been easier!

Recent Players Improvements
We listened to your feedback regarding the popular Recent Players feature, and its frequent use with large-scale multiplayer games. We’ve made significant improvements to the Recent Players experience. The service is now more reliable and allows you to connect with other gamers instantly. You can now more quickly and easily engage with your Recent Players, whether you are sending a message, inviting players to a party, or adding them to your Friends List.

More Flexible Capture Settings
We heard your feedback on wanting more control over your game capture experience. The “Allow game captures” setting now has multiple options, giving you a choice of what types of captures can be taken. You may now select between ‘”Captures by me,” “Captures by me or games,” or “Don’t capture.”

Recommend a Game Pass Title
In 2017, we announced Xbox Game Pass. Since that time, we’ve seen an incredible turnout of users joining the service that brings you unlimited access to over 100 titles and counting! If you’ve ever found yourself recommending these spectacular games to your friends, with the 1910 update, Game Pass users will have the option to do so directly from their Xbox One console. Discover your next favorite game and bring your friends along for the ride in October.

Under-the-Hood Game Update Improvements
With 1910, players can jump into their favorite games even faster! We’ve added improvements, based on your feedback, to background game updates, resulting in players encountering the “update required” screen less frequently upon launching a title.

And this. Right royal pain in the arse all these update messages, irrespective of console.

Just went to get the latest GWG, and I seem to already own Tekken Tag Tournament 2. Is it a rare repeat? I know I didn’t buy it!

EDIT: It was an E3 giveaway in 2016.
EDIT2: And The XB1 offering is a £4 game. Woo. Spoilt.
