Which is better, Blue Dragon or Lost Odyssey?

They are indeed 'dabbling' in it but they want to get it up and running on PC's and older Xbox's first.

Last time I checked Lost Odyssey didn't work with quick resume :( Hope it gets sorted at some point, though. Would be good to just be able to jump in for a few minutes here and there to try and grind up some levels

I was making a pun about it being "a long game to boot". Genuinely feel bad now, but at the same time it has lead to some useful info being shared.

It’s aged really badly, I think. Played it again a couple of months back. The writing and voice acting is just so bad. And the combat is so slow, each fight takes bloody forever. Decent amount of side quests, all towards the end of the game, if that’s your thing.

If it does come to fruition, it couldn't be any worse than the mightily disappointing PlayStation Classic.

If it streams only, why limit it to OG Xbox?

It's so damn ugly that I actually quite like it.

Really happy Resident Evil got added to Gold.

Always meant to play it, but never got round to buying it. Looking forward to giving it a go later on.

By which I mean, I'll be downloading it and then continuing to play stuff like Pikuniku instead, because I'm completely overwhelmed by how many 'proper' games I'm still to even start.

Yeah, you're right, it is great.

I'm really not complaining - having too much to play is some kind of first world problem!

I just need to get stuck into a full fat adventure, like resi to really make the most of these games with gold.

Then again, not sure I can handle scary games any more. I tried the Medium through Gamepass the other night, and lasted about 15 minutes.

£90, out 16th March

Immerse Yourself in the Future of Gaming Audio with the Xbox Wireless Headset

The headset supports industry-leading spatial sound technologies including Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone: X for realism and audio precision that fully surrounds you.

In addition to best-in-class audio performance, the new Wireless Headset provides clear and intelligent chat audio quality. The new headset has dual beamforming microphone elements that focus on speech audio vs. surrounding sound. Additionally, voice isolation tuning helps the mic pick up your voice rather than background ambient noise.

When you aren’t talking, the auto-mute feature automatically mutes your microphone (this can be toggled on or off), so you keep comms channels clear, while the manual mute button gives you privacy when you need it. There’s a lot of attention to detail to be found on the new headset, and the mic is no exception. The team added a light indicator that turns on when the mic is active, so that you always know when your voice is being picked up.

The rotating earcup dials of the new Xbox Wireless Headset provide an intuitive way to adjust the volume and game/chat audio balance with just a simple turn without interrupting how it rests on the player’s head.

With the Xbox Wireless Headset, you can play wirelessly across multiple devices including Xbox Series X|S, Xbox One, and Windows 10 PCs. The headset also connects to mobile devices via Bluetooth for on-the-go music or chat and to your console via Xbox Wireless technology just like an Xbox Wireless Controller, meaning there are no cables or dongles required. You can also simultaneously pair the headset to your phone and Xbox.

The Xbox Accessories app on your Xbox One, Xbox Series X|S, and Windows 10 devices lets you fine-tune the audio controls for a customized audio experience, including equalizer settings, bass boost, auto-mute sensitivity, mic monitoring, and brightness of mic’s mute light. Best of all, the headset can stay updated with the latest features via wireless updates from your console, ensuring you’ll have a premium audio experience that continues to evolve.

Finally, charging gets you back into the action in a flash: 30 minutes of charging provides about 4 hours of battery life, with only 3 hours of charging to reach up to 15 hours of battery life when the headset is not in use.*

Would these potentially work wirelessly on PS5 as well?

Probably via Bluetooth, we shall see. Edit: Found out PS5 doesn't support Bluetooth Audio so no.

Would be interested to see how these review. I assume i would be able use MS Reward points to buy vouchers that could be used against these (as they are offical hardware and likely to be sold throughthe MS Store)?

Ironically the 9X headphones that also use the native xbox pairing tech apparently dont work very well on the Series X (frequent disconnects et), so hopefully these wont have the same problem.

Hopefully those headphones will come alongside a patch on Series X for other wireless headsets as I still can't use my LS35Xs with any kind of reliability.

I would think that highly likely. Its an issue affecting a lot of people right now using the same tech on other headphones, and i cant imagine they will release their own headset that doesn't connect reliably from day 1 (waits to be quoted in a months time....)

You should go back to it. I'm like you that I can't do suspense / scary games these days (resi 7, Outlast 1&2, etc are too much for me) but I completed The Medium without any issue. There are a couple of stealth moments in it and pseudo-tension but nothing like Resi7's escape from the dinner table (that's as far as I managed in that game!)

Has anyone had trouble claiming Gears 5? Mine goes through but then when I revisit it in the store it says I can get it free with gold again. Both on console and web browser. It also doesn’t show in the list of GwG titles in my game library
