Does anyone think the controller that came with the Xbox Series X/S is tiny?

I’ve had problems with it as I feel it’s too tiny and a lightweight. Perhaps after months of using the PS5 controller is playing tricks on me?

I swear the previous generations’ controllers is bigger but it could just being my memory is playing tricks on me.

I have an old Xbox One S controller that I use on my PC, so I just compared it to the Series S controller. They're pretty much the exact same size.

Well the last Xbox controller I used a lot was the 360’s. It is certainly a lot smaller than the original X Box controller that’s for sure. :slol:

It’s just probably because I’m so used to the PS5’s controller, and my memory is playing tricks on me.

Robbo-92 wrote:Finished Halo 5, probably the weakest of the 7 games by a good margin. Couple of good points being the game looked fantastic and the boosted melee attacks were kind of fun I guess. The endless waves of the same, repetitive enemies was a low point though, really annoying as well considering how easy you could get put down waiting for help to arrive (if your fellow Spartans don’t get themselves killed :fp: Blue Team seemed the better of the teams for survival, Osiris seemed to get knocked down constantly ), by the end I was strongly considering dropping it to easy just so I could see the story through. The story wasn’t great either to be honest.

Brings my Halo playthrough to an end though, mainly a very strong series, looking forward to Halo Infinite!

Next games to play through will probably be the Fable trilogy, only ever played 2 before so quite looking forward to playing the other 2.

I too have just finished it and whilst the campaign did have its moments it did get a bit annoying fighting the same weak->medium->heavy waves of badguys. The promethians were cool in Halo 4 because they were something different but now they are just an annoyance. I did enjoy running down the Guardian vertically as the planets surface loomed in front of Locke.

I didn’t mind the controls, mainly because I have spent the last few years playing Destiny. I had a quick taz on multiplayer and found it as dull as every other random team-based game. Maybe Infinite will recharge it a bit and I can hitch a ride on some GR team games?

Doesn't say 4K so could be upscaled 1440p. Confirmed as no change in available memory for devs though.

6 weeks after it was announced to be in the Xbox development kit, Myst becomes the 1st Xbox game to use AMD FSR, out 26/8 on Game Pass -

We rebuilt Myst from the ground up to look stunning and perform amazingly on a variety of gaming systems. One of the technical features we’ve used to achieve this is AMD FidelityFX Super Resolution. This allows us to crank the graphics quality much higher than we typically would be able to. Thanks to FSR, Myst can run in 4K at a smooth 60fps on Xbox Series X with the highest graphics setting across the board, and at 1440p at 60fps on Xbox Series S!

With FSR, we effectively decrease the screen percentage of the game down in the background, then allow the super sampling process to sharpen the image. There are some minor differences to how the game looks at native 4K resolution without screen percentage adjustments, but overall, FSR provides a nearly 75% increase in performance on Xbox Series X|S on a 4K display, without sacrificing much visual fidelity at all.

The visual changes are subtle; but that’s how they’re supposed to be! If you want to check out both the FSR On and FSR Off images at full size, we’ve put them on our website here so you can pixel peep to your heart’s content: https://cyan.com/full-sized-fsr-comparison-images/

The bottom line for you? Instead of having to balance between performance and graphics we can offer a crisp, clean, fast, and great-looking experience on all Xbox platforms. We’re proud to be one of the first developers to take advantage of this tech for Xbox Series X|S!

Plug in and Game on with the New Xbox Stereo Headset

Today, you can add one more option to the list. We are pleased to announce our Xbox Stereo Headset, available for pre-order today. With the new Xbox Stereo Headset, we are bringing everything you expect from Xbox products like performance, stand-out features, quality, and accessibility to deliver immersive experiences across console, PC, and mobile devices. We also wanted to bring you more value to the entry-level headset category, including clear microphone performance, high-quality ear cushions, and a volume control dial on the right earcup.

The Xbox Stereo Headset features many of the design elements found the Xbox Wireless Headset. The flexible, lightweight design with an adjustable headband utilizes plush cushioning to spread pressure more evenly around the top of the head. Ultra-soft large earcups will keep you comfy during those “extended” play sessions, and easily accessible on-ear controls for volume and mute will make this a staple in your gaming arsenal. Connect directly to the Xbox Wireless Controller or other devices through the 3.5mm audio jack, no batteries required.

To generate the best possible experience across gaming, team chat, music, and movies, the team tuned the headset to replicate the intended audio recording source that the creators wanted you to experience. The result of this is hearing the audio as close as possible to how it was recorded, by ensuring clean mid & high frequency performance with strong bass. And to take your audio one step further, the Xbox Stereo Headset supports high-fidelity spatial sound technologies including Windows Sonic, Dolby Atmos, and DTS Headphone: X (may require additional purchases or app downloads).

It is Kaz, buts it’s about fixing the timers on EA’s ‘10 hours free’ trials they do, apparently they’re still ticking down even when you fully quit.
And a joypad update.

Thanks. I did not know about that bug, but then again I think I have only ever used the trial service once.

It used to work fine but now…seemingly not.
Not looking forward to getting on my hands & knees looking for the USB port to plug the pad in, I forgot where it is :fp:
