I've got a GAME preorder receipt for a Day One xbox, it's reserved against my loyalty card to a London store after I traded some stuff in, but I don't think I'll be getting it launch day now. I'm guessing there's no way to transfer it, but it seems a shame to waste it. Any ideas? (besides being a filthy scalper).

Scalping is fine. You should be able to cover your costs that way and a little more. More importantly, you've confessed to us so there is no need to feel guilty. :simper:

I usually hold onto spare consoles and sell them to family, friends or friends of at the price I paid. I never lose out and feel a bit cheeky getting a profit, but no one would blame you in your situation as you're not really scalping in my opinion.

You didn't buy it with intention to sell it right away, so do what you want.

I bought 2 Xbox 360 consoles on launch day in 2005 and pretty much covered the cost of my own one by selling the other one for a profit. Do that.
