If you say so but I think it's terrible compared to the PS4 dashboard.

Hold down Xbox button till it turns off and unplug. I bet when you restart it’s fine, it’s is cache probably dealing with all the 4K update stuff.

I've never had too much of a problem with the UI, although I can see how some would see it as a little... bloated, compared to PS4, but I've never experienced apps not opening!

I've always quite liked the xb1 UI, really. I'm mostly playing PS4 Pro at the moment as my Xbox One X is packed away till Christmas Day - can't wait to give the thing a try!

I called off his players' names as they came marching up the steps behind him....All nice guys. They'll finish last. Nice guys. Finish last.

Hey folks. Just a wee comment on the apps not opening thing ( games too for me ). I had that once on my day 1 Xbox one and ended up having to factory reset the machine and re-add my account and redone load purchases etc. Annoying but it fixed it. Thought I'd pass that along.

When it's unplugged hold your finger on the power button for 10 seconds just to kill any remaining power. Does it even have a button on the front like the OG Bone?

If you mean an on off button then yes it does.

Turning it off doesn’t clear the cache, what KJ said does.

I think they should have included a play & charge kit with every controller, but especially with the high-end X1.

Or are you saying you'd rather have a non-replaceable built-in battery?

After having a run of dodgy play and charge batteries from MS a few years back, I just bought rechargeable AA batteries instead. I got 4 with my charger so I'd always have 2 fully charged to swap in when required, and there'd never be any need for a controller cable.

It's stupid question time again.

How do I tell if my Halo 5 is the OX enhanced version? I've not played any xbox one games before the X and I was hoping they'd all have the same xbox one x enhanced logo at the opening screen as Forza 7 does.

I wish they had a built in rechargeable battery like the PlayStation and Nintendo controllers. The play and charge things are an alright half way house but they obviously don't make many of them as they're not readily available.

I don't have anything else that uses discrete batteries so I can't bring myself to buy rechargeable batteries just for the X1. I'll just keep using disposable batteries and wipe out a few polar bears.

In my games and apps you can filter it to Xbox One X enhanced titles on the top right.

Hime wrote:Finally unpacked the X in my new house today and what a great surprise, they obviously called the 360 designers back in. I'd go as far to say this is the best designed console yet, even my girlfriend commented on how relieved you was that it will look much nicer on the TV unit. Can't wait to get it hooked up to the LG C7.

I can't get over the controller still needing batteries in 2017. The play and charge kits are nowhere to be find as well.

I think they've discontinued them as I had the same problem when I looked for them recently. Maybe they're in the process of redesigning them? I saw one for £16 but that seemed a lot for a USB cable and a battery pack when you could get a 3rd party charging station and two batteries for the same price :?

I think it's complete gooseberry fool as it feels unresponsive and slow on the OX so I dread to think how it feels on a base machine. It often just decides not load apps like the store for no obvious reason and is just total pants in general.

It was so awful. It was a rush job and it showed. It's only been up until the last 12 months that it's been fit for purpose.

I don't understand what's going on with my machine I installed a load of games and they keep disappearing from my device?

I can redownload them but what's the point if they'll just disappear again and I have to download it again?

I can play the games I just don't see them on my dashboard it's really quite odd.

For instance I've started playing Sunset Overdrive and I can pin it but when I go to the My Games section it isn't there.

Erm, you sure you have your games filtered to ‘all’ and not Xbox One Enhanced?

Yep. I just tried NHL which I installed and I can play it but not see it in the My games section.
What's even more odd is that Forza 7 appears in the enhanced list but not the all list :slol: .

Found them there's an all button at the top I didn't see I had the Xbox 360 + xbox tab open thinking it mean't xbox one but it mean the first xbox.

I'm fantastic at this tech stuff :fp: .

Back to 56 games installed now :slol: .
