500 wrap at launch I'd imagine.

I'll stick with the slim bone.

Amiga A1200  . Still got it in the loft.

Same here.
It was one of the few machines I had left after I got burgled and they swiped a 20 year collection of machines. It's why I'm now not that bothered about having a collection.

Do you remember Atari 2600 games costing £60 each that was bloody stupid.

No. I only remember Atari VCS games costing £30, with the exception of one space game that came with an odd controller for about £45. Atari must have loved it when Activision arrived on the scene with £10 games.

Here's a nice explanation of how console prices have fallen.

If Scorpio games only run on Scorpio then this is Xbox 4, no matter how much they spin it.

PS4 Neo is current gen, it's there to take the edge of Scorpio until they're ready for PS5.

Has the 1080 been benchmarked?

This is more like the 1070 (actually slightly less powerful I think, but close enough).

EDIT

1070 - 6.5 Tflops
1080 - 9 Tflops

Considering the 1070 will still be pretty top end in the pc gaming world that's not bad.

I wouldn't expect a console to have the most bleeding edge pc graphics card so that's not half bad and certainly neerer the bleeding edge than the ps4 was at launch.

No need. By the time ms release the scorpio, the ps5 will be announced and people will wait for that.
Its important that neo is released this autumn to maximise their lead.

Ms coming out like this stinks of desperations. Everything was so hastily put together. No one in their right mind announces a new console and a successor in the same press conference.

They're repeating original Xbox where they went next gen after only 4 years. And for what, resolution wars?

What do they do if a more powerful PS5 comes out the following year? Pull the same gooseberry fool?

Nick, you've spent nearly three years going on about resolution and frame-rate. The instant that it appears a non-Sony console may have an edge and you suddenly decide that it doesn't matter  .

And how you feel about Microsoft announcing their next-gen console less than 3 years after launching Xbox One.

Microsoft are abandoning the One, no two ways about it.

 honestly, guys, chill.

This looks interesting. Especially if that VR rumour (that Garth mentioned, but it was hidden by baby talk and bumpain) is true.
