Watched that, when he says you can't have both on there, dies that mean you can't have you normal installed games on there at the same time, as switching modes and having to redownload everything is a bit gooseberry fool. Of you simply can't access them then ace.

You boot the console in a development environment and that locks out running signed code, and vice versa. But it all remains on the storage devices despite being unusable.

At least that's how it works on Xbox One and this is the same OS so I guess it's the same kind of thing. It did take a while to boot a dev environment though, I think it was taking me about 15 minutes which put me off it.

Ace, cheers.

No problem. It’s also worth noting because I know you like streaming retro stuff... as far as I know you won’t have any streaming functionality from an Xbox when in a dev environment, so you’d still need to capture and stream your content via another device like a PC

That's fine I have a capture card :D Cheers, dude.

I'm pretty certain that my issues with the controller not responding is down to my wireless headphones. Anyone else have the issue where the console boots up but the controller doesn't connect and the light just flashes? If so, do you use wireless headphones?

You're probably on the right track. I had that problem all the time with Xbox One being near wireless stuff like smartphones. The Xbox wireless connection they changed to from the x360 was awful.

To be fair, I'm not looking to scalp or sell it on. More just I'm enjoying the S so much, that I regret not just plumping for the more powerful, future-proofed console. Storage is also an issue as my gaming habits and preference for long term "live service" games like Destiny, Halo, Sea of Thieves, F76 etc mean I have to juggle stuff at the moment.

I'd be selling my S on for cost or for less than I bought it if I trade it in, so I wouldn't be profiting.

It's unlikely it will happen either way, and entering the lottery is just a way of giving me the option of an X. In all likelihood, what I'll probably do is wait until I permanently return to the UK sometime next year, and then maybe get an X when it's more freely available, or on they monthly payment option thingmy. Easier to get rid of my S then too, or use for for another room or something like some of you crazy bastards do.

Game have dispatched the Series X I ordered on launch day which was originally guaranteed for the 23rd of December. Bodes well for them potentially getting more stock in before Christmas if they were able to fulfil these orders ahead of schedule, maybe.

F76 and Sea of Thieves you say?

I'll be jumping onto the Destiny 2 train on Dec 8th (X/S enhanced day).

Likewise. I expect to be overwhelmed and lost, especially given how much content I hear they’ve archived. I know how these games tend to focus on their core players, but I’m really hoping they’ve given due consideration to new players with a decent onboarding process.

I’d love to play Sea of Thieves with you guys sometime. I played it a bit solo back in September, and joined some groups via the official discord but would like to get back into it. Just have Gamepass PC for now, but when it expires on December 1st I’ll be doing the Gold to GPU upgrade.

I too would love to play SoT in a crew. It’s great but I have only played it SP. one of my hopes was that there would be more people here who were up for games, so add me to any group (mental or otherwise) you are forming please!

Do the seasons never change in Forza Horizon 4 if using quick resume? I have been in spring for almost 3 weeks now. I’m fairly certain that’s not right....

The season changes once a week, but only after you’ve gone through the first four season changes at your own pace. Keep playing and you’ll find an event that unlocks summer. It’s been a long time, so I can’t remember what the unlock conditions are.

Indeed. Probably why it looks so dated....

I’m truth it’s been about 18 months I have been playing it, but it wasn’t a new release then!
