Has anyone played the war of the chosen expansion? It looks like it changes loads and is a pretty comprehensive update. I’m really keen but even with its current discount it cost £22. Would be nice to know if it’s worth doing for someone who has played a lot of xcom2.

It's definitely worth 22 quid as there's a decent amount of content and some significant gameplay changes .

While I agree I did get bored towards the end and didn't finish my campaign, but I did get it straight after completing a standard campaign.

Consider this bought! Love playing an xcom for the first time.

This looks different enough from both the previous games that I'm really interested and keen to give it a go ASAP, rather than waiting for it to go on sale. I still need to play War of the Chosen though so I should probably do that first.

I really really like the look of it but wish it was launching on console as I am not sure the laptop I am on will run it.

£10 on launch?! Be rude not to even though I'd rather be playing on console. Speaking of which... I REALLY hope XCOM 2 is BC on PS5; I loved XCOM and was looking forward to playing the sequel, but the the load times on PS4 were so awful I stopped playing early on into it :cry:

£8.49 on Steam technically. Even better is the sale lasts for a week after the game is released so we can check the reviews before buying. The Firaxis Xcom games are all great though so I'd be surprised if this wasn't worth it.

Happiness noise.

I love the firaxis XCom games, especially War of the Chosen, so this is an instant purchase. Also maybe this means XCom 3 is closer than we think!

Does it get rid of the timer?
That really put me off XCOM 2 as it made it feel like a completely different game as I like to explore the maps rather than just being forced into combat asap.

No but there are mods that remove the timer.

Immediately binned Terminal for the beserker muton. The only option in my mind.

I haven't touched my PC or Steam since lockdown began but I've found myself on it this afternoon so I couldn't help but buy Chimera Squad at that price. Will hopefully get stuck into it once I finish FF7.
