My last mission was a General one, too. strawberry floating Advent big hitters kept revealing themselves at every turn. (There were 5 sets in total.) Final one being the mech. (Whose reach on the gun attack is freaking ridonkulous.)

Loving the hero classes in this; not only do they add variety, but they're *actually* a viable way of playing games, meaning you don't just end up having to rely on old favourite classes. (I only have 1 sniper and er, 3 rangers :slol: Yup. Rangers are my new faves.)

Told you about the rangers. Blademaster and shotguns!

The classes from WOTC are great, especially the skirmishers.

This is a first: I'm on a save the data transmitter from being destroyed mission type and yet it's impossible to do so! Advent get about 3 free shots at it, doing huge damage on each turn, before even one of my company is in range. But even with that soldier taking a shot at them, it doesn't stop the enemy from attacking it.

Had to restart my current game as I don't have enough resouurces (intel) to make contaact with a region containing a blacksite in time to stop the Avatar project.

I usually leave it until the last minute anyway but this time I'm screwed.

Haven't played the game in over 18 months so I'm a little out of practice (and it shows).

The worst part is having to replay the Reaper/Skirmisher meeting mission again, takes ages to get through and then the subsequent Mox rescue mission.

I’m never in a rush for mox. I found you only need a grenade and a team. Get set, wait for the enemies to move away. Grenade the wall. 1 person to get him, Evac…

Have one hell of a mission atm, Its a crashed UFO mission with loads of Advent trooops (20+) and its swarming with the Lost.

Its utter chaos, managed to sneak Elena into the UFO, past several Advent and Lost to deactivate the beacon and out again without breaking concealment.

Just need a Chosen to show up now

Yep. As soon as you press the button, concealment breaks. I’ve done it a few times when the timer is running down and there are too many. But you often lose a solider who activates it.

I'm mostly playing Lost Judgment at the moment, but this is still on my play list, as it were.

 I did the exact same thing with one of my last missions! The first attempt had me going in to the mission with only THREE soldiers! So I loaded up a previous save hoping to better equip the 3 soldiers. But when the next mission cropped up again it was a regular mission with a full set of soldiers. Bullet Lasers and ray gun ammo dodged!

Just done the turret defense mission, was a challenge due to loads of my soldiers being wounded from previous missions.

Only lost one low rank ranger to a Chrysalid (AKA utter banana splits) so not too bad overall.

Tough missions those when them come close after others, and your best squad is out. Some collateral is to be expected, commander. :D

Nice! I’ve never nailed those special aliens until 2nd of 3rd time they arrive. Always escape.

Thought I was lucky yesterday when I managed to take down a Sectopod withoout it dealing any damage
(Claymore right next. to where it paused to do that weird laser scanning thing, blew it up using Elena then had my sharpshooter and specialists fire their plasma tier weapons to take it out).

Was in the middle of a Lost swarm with four Codex, two Spetres and an Andromedonn lurking around.

Best performance was the Templar taking on multiple Lost brutes and three of the Codex, they're ridiculously strong when high rank.
