Xenoblade Chronicles 3 [Switch]

Maybe not 100 hours+ unless you’re going for 100% then? Was expecting more than 7 chapters like the previous games have had.

this game has a bad habit of letting us beat bosses only for them to be unscathed in the next cut scene creating a sense of redundancy

Just got to finally use the climbing ability I unlocked a few hours ago :lol:

Called it a day after the cutscene when you climb up the series of vines. The combat, while I’m probably not using it to its full potential is clicking much quicker than XC2’s and probably about the same as XC’s if not a little quicker. Damage seems to be ramping up from the chain attacks nicely as you level up too by the looks of it, or I’m just getting lucky.

One of the side quests is about giving items to a Nopon in Colony 30, I’ve done the quest requirements and got the exp but noticed he still had a ? above his head, is it worthwhile doing the second round? Or best to move on and enjoy the story after neglecting it for a couple of hours? :lol:

finally on to the next chapter. that is 6

sorry SE i think you're gonna have to hand the very long cut scene crown xenoblade. but dang i don't think the emotions have ever been this strong in the previous 3 games. too bad N went a bit generic jrpg villain on us. still though that was something else

Leave it for now, you'll collect the items as you go.

so i encountered a strange glitch where a side quest boss stopped losing health when his health bar was half empty. weird thing was every so often he dropped the items he drops when he's beat
after restarting the battle it turned out the boss was supposed to turn invincible, trigger a cutscene and then have the proper battle. but for whatever reason that wasn't happening and he wasn't losing any more health even though it kept coming up that he was still taking damage

Still in chapter 3 and I’ve just been back tracking to do a Hero quest I picked up, ran into a Masked Man, I was a few levels under him (he was 28 and my party was 25) but managed through a decent chain attack to get his health down to half where he ran off, then got attacked by some troops.

Just doing the Hero quest back in colony 9 too.

chapter 6 side quests i've got all but one of the heroes now. and the last i suspect is joran's moebius form. still gotta unlock the higher rankings

There's a side quest I have open to me in chapter 6 Think it's the class upgrade quest for Manana and Rick but I can't do it because I can't fast travel to the area at all - either I haven't discovered it yet (even though it's in relation to the city) or there's some other story reason stopping me going there. Have I maybe missed the chance to do it?

First Xenoblade game, not gripped yet but only 3 hours in so far. I watched youtube videos for the previous story, don't judge me...

Best part are battles so far, rather enjoying.

This looks glorious handheld, but just tried it on tv sitting fairly close and looks utterly shocking :shock:

Ow wow, really? I find the dynamic resolution too much at times in handheld! It's nothing special docked (apart from a couple of places/beasts), but it does the job nicely.

I'm pretty sure nothing in this game is missable.

i've done that one. tell me the location i'll see if i can help

If it's stopping you entering a region with fast travel, just go to the nearest landmark to the swapover point and enter from there. Odds are there's some story element to happen before the place it's telling you reach.

Finished chapter 3 last night. Ouch on the heartbreak and emotion.
