My final team was Shulk, Sharla, and The Seventh Character. Last time I played I swapped Shulk out for Dunban. Always play a healer.

I just rotate them all the time if honest. And when I get a tough fight I have to bring Shulk in for his Manado Arts.

I quite enjoyed the aggresive topple team of Dodge tank Dunban, Shulk and 7th. You could pretty much burst down the end bosses before healing really became an issue.

Then I think I used Melia, Shulk and Riki to clear the postgame superbosses when I got to them as ether damage was surprisingly strong if you invest into it.

I'm getting closer to the end I feel. Chapter 15.

Anyway, just here to bitch about the stupid Nopon Challenges. Got S rank on all restricted and Unrestricted so far (a few??? still to go). But man, WHY OH WHY DO YOU SHOW ME VISIONS. Visions should freeze time, it's so unfair that each one lasts 5 or so seconds and you cannot control if you get them or not. I was having a good run, about to finish it off with a decent time and BAM 3 visions in a row (i had 3 monsters left with low health and was just about to do a Dunban around the clock stabby maneouver). It ticks me right off. The same goes for a Chain attack during Nopon trials, they should freeze the damn timer whilst you're selecting your art.

Rant over. I feel better now. Get me a Snickers.

Finally started this tonight, only played just under 2 hours but I like the world and characters they have introduced so far. All the systems it’s showing is a lot to take in so far but I’m thinking/hoping it will all start to click as I put more time into it.

Those voices

On Chapter 3 now (Fiora  )

I’m starting to get the hang of the main parts of the battle system now like getting Shulk to break and then Reyn using Topple, chain attacks are cool as well. When something has an ! on it that’s basically the game telling you now is the time to use that particular Art right?

I have amassed a lot of materials and Crystals now, what’s worth keeping/selling?

I've just gone for this (curse you Jawa) as I had £15 off with Zilch. Was very tempted to wait and get 3 at launch seeing as they never drop much in price, tjoity guessing the first game.may be the most friendly to newcomers.

The 100hrs+ it's going to take to finish is probably not great for my backlog though.

I think I've finished. 145 hours. That's 6 days of my life. I've done as much endgame as I can be arsed with. A few bits left out, but I feel I may be done. Bit's i've done and left will be in the next spoiler box.

-Colony 6 100% rebuilt which I'm happy with.
- I've done all quests in my list although i imagine one or two illude me
- I've done all heart to hearts.
- All characters have level 5 unlocked, although I'm not going to actually complete all trees.
- I have found affinity for everyone bar one stupid Nopon - Gadogowan or someone, strawberry floating Korok has no friends.
- I've beaten all high monsters I can think of, but I imagine a few allude me, I remember seeing one or two well above level 100 on my travels but highest i've beaten is about level 100. (the giant on Valek mountain).
- I've managed to get clothes back on Shulk Reyn and Sharla.

I did all archsage challenges up to the ones you unlock around prison island. Then I just couldn't be arsed. You can tell this is a remake addition, because it's not really worth doing.
Not sure if I'll do new game plus? Is there any need?

I didn't really do gem crafting and my inventory was overloaded. I realised only towards the end that you could filter by attribute strength rather than when you aquired it. If i were to play again it'd be nice to get more out of gems and stats. My technique was always just put on the best item i could but not worry too much about it until the next time i struggle against a boss. I definitely underused the stats system and barely touched the gem one.
I finished with all characters 95 except Riki who i believe was 96 or 97.

Vitally important.

I don't think anybody really goes big for the gems.

Just discovered Future Connected. Well I won't be moving on to Skyrim quite yet then xD However, these 2 Nopon can shut up. I just had a 'quiet moment' between Melia and Nunu. My word, I may not do any more.

Also, I looked for Xenoblade 2 on Switch store. £75ish quid for full version.....emrmmm nooooooo. I'll wait til I'm back in the UK and can get to a CEX i think.

I don't think I've actually finished Future Connected at this point, I was a bit burned out on Xenoblade by the time I got to it so took a break after a few hours and haven't got back to it

And Yeah £75 is a big ask, it does get fairly regular eShop discounts that bring the complete package to about £49 so might be worth waiting for one of them if you don't find a good physical copy.

I'd say it's good value for money though - I've got a good 200 hours out of XC2 and the DLC and loved every minute of it!
