You just go back to the point where it says something along the lines of you won’t be able to go back PST this point, can still load it up to level up and do more side quests and the like.

Truly an epic masterpiece and I could happily spend hundreds more hours replaying it and completing all the sidequests. Just listening to the credits is such a peaceful and blissful way to wrap up a magnificent adventure.

It really is great isn’t it!

Not many more quests to do, the DLC and the Colony 6 ones, most of which involve fighting 90+ enemies.

Just hit level 81 :fp: I hate that you can't even challenge a enemy in red and all attacks miss. I would welcome the challenge as I can easily down enemies in yellow 5-7 levels above me.

:?:

You can challenge red enemies, it's often very hard but you should be able to hit them. Is it a telethia enemy you are trying to attack? I seem to recall those dodging a lot of your attacks

I think I ended up creating a bunch of gems that helped with accuracy when dealing with a boss at one point and then kept them equipped on my team which probably helped. The other thing is to focus on ether attacks which I think are much more likely to land.

EDIT: I think agility up gems are the ones I had as my understanding is that agility is the stat that affects accuracy of attacks (I may be wrong though!)

Think I have done everything apart from 100% colony 6. done all the item finds just couldn't be arsed trying to find all the civilians to ask to move.

Disappointed with the Giant Quest after so much work I was expecting an uber boss not just a level 100 Giant

Got my brother this for his birthday and he's just got to Mechonis. He's put 37 hours into it this week (he is isolating). Loves it. I made a new Xeno fan!

:toot:

It’s one of the few JRPG’s I couldn’t not play now, it’s just great! Really hoping we’ll get to see their new game at E3 (if we get one, or an E3 direct at least) as it’ll be good to see something completely new from them! Good if we got a port of XCX too (would be another game for him to sink hours into!), I’d find it hard to resist not buying it, would be good to see what quality improvements they could do for the Switch.

So I've finally started this and impressions already very good! Only 3 or 4 hours in, but I really like the opening area, lots to do with side quests. Not the most interesting at the moment but they give a bit of structure and direction to levelling up and obtaining gear etc so I'm fine with it. Haven't progressed the story too much yet but I think I already prefer Shulk to Rex as a protagonist :slol:

One thing I'm appreciating is the menu system seems a lot cleaner and streamlined than XC2 (a minor gripe), which might be because it has simpler systems but I'm enjoying how quick it is to get things done. I can see how the battle system is going to be a simpler too but as long as the story and world is as engrossing as I'm expecting, not going to be a big issue. I do love the art style too. Not the most technically strong but it all really comes together well.

Xenoblade  It's good to be back!

One question, what's going on with the icons above enemies? Bit confused

The battle system does expand as it goes on, but it doesn't have the same level of complexity and rewarding satisfaction that the sequel introduced.

Can't remember the exact details of the icons/names on enemies - I think the colour is to do with how strong they are relative to your level and there's a symbol which lets you know how they spot you as well I think - i.e. on sight, sound based etc.

Yeah, it's fair enough really as obviously the sequel build on the foundation. If anything it makes me appreciate what they did with the sequel!

Ah I thought the colours meant difficulty (think XC2 had that?), wasn't sure on the symbols but that makes sense!

Yeah XC2 has colours and icons to indicate stuff that's stronger than you and "special" monsters that will be harder to beat. So it's a similar setup.

The combat is still very enjoyable in 1, and yeah it's an interesting one to play after 2 because you can see the things that they decided to go deeper on and tweak in various ways.
