Maybe that's because you're both sturdily built

The Egil fight was ruined for me because he had one line of dialogue that he would repeat throughout it.

Thankfully grinding in the area around that boss is quite easy, no enemies are too hard and they’re mostly within the 72-75 range, I’m already up to 71 (still grinding currently mind) after starting grinding at 68, would be ideal if I had the main game finished off tomorrow and then I’ll get Future Connected done over the week, imagine I’ll want to explore a lot more in that as I’ve not seen most of it already.

Up to level 75 and the boss went down on the first try :toot:

Hopefully that’s the last bit of grinding needed (well, it was the first as well) as I seem to recall the following boss went down a relative breeze last time in comparison. Should definitely have the main game finished off today.

Very nearly at the end of this now  Just beaten Disciple Dickson and now making my way through space which is stunning, even playing handheld

Replaying this has really cemented the Xenoblade Chronicles series as my favourite JRPG series, miles ahead of anything else for me personally (although I have no idea if people class Pokémon as a JRPG these days, technically it is? But compared to a series like XC it doesn’t feel in the same genre if that makes sense) that I’ve tried in the past. Just makes me really excited to see what Monolith Soft come up with next with the fantasy setting they’ve hinted at.

Their new IP that was teased ages ago still has me hyped beyond heck. It's prob still a while off yet tho considering how much Nintendo likes making them work on other stuff >,> Pretty sure they on BotW 2 again.

I’ve no idea how many people they employ, maybe enough to have some working on BotW 2 and then the majority focusing on their new game? I think it’s doubtful but if they ever port XCX to the Switch I’ll be there day one for that as well, fingers crossed we’d get some sort of extra content in that if they don’t want to do a full sequel as the ending really set it up for one.

Thats the main game done anyway, will be starting on Future Connected tomorrow, need to get those daily tasks done in Animal Crossing at some point

I do wonder if we'll ever see a switch Pro given Nintendo can't even be bothered to redesign the obviously faulty Joycons.

As long as it runs on the standard Switch then that’s fine, I’m not sure we’ll get a Switch pro mind, since the slightly updated one came out last year alongside the Switch Lite I’ve not seen many rumours about a Switch Pro.

No need for a new model switch surely, it ran beautifully on the Wii U anyway.

XCX did run really well on the all powerful Wii U to be fair, much better than XC2 did on the Switch anyway, might not be a fair comparison as one was a launch game and the other came out a few years into its life.

Just starting Future Connected anyway, just one question, is it as heavy on the side quest front as the main game? I’m really hoping its not......

Edit, guess it wants you to play as Melia in this considering you start as her? I’m probably going to stick with at least trying her, never did really get around to using her much in the main game! Just have to decide which of the two Nopon is the better choice.

Edit 2, Kino and Nene really are Shulk and Sharla in all but name aren’t they, even their available arts are the same with slightly different names

There was an old interview with MS where they talking about porting XCX and how difficult it would be. I just assumed it was a hardware thing. But given the positive reactions to DE I think they might be reconsidering.

It's generally much more varied and less fetch quest and monster hunting. I liked the pacing of them a lot more compared to most of main game.

Not far into Future Connected but so far it’s great, really nice area to explore, looks and sounds great too. Melia is an absolute powerhouse anyway! If I do a new game+ on the base game I’ll be getting Melia in my party ASAP.

Only thing I’m not keen on is the other Nopon following you for some reason once you’ve found them and done their related quest. Going to look a bit daft when you have 12 Nopon legging it about behind you

It does, but as soon as you get one you can hide them from the options menu :toot:

I played handheld and noticed big frame dips the more I had following lol. Didn't know you could turn them off tho. But it was amusing to me and never really bothered me that much. Didn't expect to get attached to them but I did. Nonona is my boy.
