But how could you take against the brilliant and charismatic Muimui?

I actually found Pyra more ridiculous. Her outfit had nothing at all in common with her personality.

Agreed... at least Dahlia’s kiiiiind of fits her personality? Plus she’s optional.

Pyra remains the worst though, as much for the camera focusing on her T&A as anything else.

Oh god. He's not as bad as Tatsu from X. But he's still terrible. Swapped him out for Morag. I don't have a tank who can take all the aggro now, and I have to put up with blade boobs, but I don't care.

Thing is, the ridiculous outfits probably have helped the game to sell. They've shamelessly tapped into that pervy anime market. I'm expecting more of it, given how good Xenoblade 2 did.

yeah a lot of the outfits are ridiculous, does explain why masahiro sakurai is said to found of the game

The outfits are ridiculous, as is some of the "boob physics". Perun in particular is just laughable - she just has to slowly turn around and things are wobbling all over the place. :fp:

I also swapped Tora out for Morag ASAP. I really liked Morag as a character as well in fact so it was a win-win.

Morag is pretty strawberry floating cool. I hope she doesn't end up stabbing everyone in the back, like an anime trope.

I made it to the next area (The Archipelago). I like this place already.

You will do until you're knocked off one of the islands mid battle and have to trudge halfway across the map to get back up.

If only there was an always accessible fast travel system with generously placed travel points you could use to get back up.

This.

Also I don't recall ever being knocked off an island in battle. I jumped off a few and missed my target a few times but that's the only time I remember falling.

I always found the leftherian archipelago travel points to be too spaced apart, there really needed to be one on every island for convenience.

It's probably one of the areas with the least content in terms of things to actually do - most of the first part is just a trek to get to the village that you could happily not return to if you didn't care about coming back to use field skills etc. So having fewer travel points is less of an annoyance.

I've had that happen in other areas. I didn't really consider that. Last time it happened, I was salvaging, and Rex got knocked off the dock we were on. Treasure wasn't there when I respawned. Annoying.

It tended to happen to me on the paths connecting the islands. The one to the north of the first island was particularly bad for it as there was a decent levelled monster that flew across the path just before you got to the next island.

Finally started the Torna DLC, first thoughts? It looks amazing, not having played them back to back I think it looks a lot better than the base game (which still looked fine I might add) but I guess that might just be because I’ve not loaded that up since I completed it. I also think it sounds great (but then again the base game had a great soundtrack). The combo of Lora and Jin seems almost instantly likeable though.

I started this a week or so ago as well. It seems a bit too cut scene heavy at first (even more so than XC2). Nice to have more Jin though, he was easily the most interesting part of XC2. Liking the changes to the battle system.

Chapter 6 spoilers (I think)

I just got the white sword and Nia's super leotard blade form.

I thought they were going go full on with the third sword being the strawberry floating Monado. But they didn't..
