Pretty much what I expected TBH, it's not the best story in the world and I think the first game is better on that if im honest.

What is with this cheap boss at the end?

I can handly him easily up to the second phase when he summons two minions and wipes me out in seconds. I must be doing something wrong because the battle is really easy up to that point.

you predicted the same god from the first game's good half was the god in this one?

i seem to recall taking out the minions first being key but i imagine youve tried that, all i can suggest is trying a chain attack with as many elemental spheres as can get before hand with pyra/mythra in their more powerful form that should rack up some damage

I like stumbling across tunes I'd forgotten about which are tremendous - Argentum Day, The Ancient Vessel, and Drifting Soul fulfil that niche thus far.

My two absolute faves are also not on Squinty's list though: Tantal and Mor Ardain.

Yeah the soundtrack for this is incredible, so many brilliant tracks. :datass:

Mor Ardain theme reminds me of music from Castlevania every time I hear it.

I love how the music changes between night and day on some of the Titans, Gormott and Tantal are a couple of favourites but the entire soundtrack is brilliant. Hopefully we'll get some extra tracks on the original game remaster next year too. :wub:

The Gormott theme is my favourite. The choir bit, it's too strawberry floating good.

Also love Drifting Souls of course. And Bringer of Chaos is a banger.

I genuinely find it hard to think of any areas where I didn't like the music, the quality was so good across the board. I remember on the first play through just being amazed when each new area managed to keep delivering great new music, took ages before there was one that was "just" okay. :lol:

I don’t remember the music in Temperantia at all, so maybe that?

Yeah, the track there was well fitting thematically but wasn't one of the strongest pieces if you just take it on its own merits:

It's worth mentioning that the guy who supervised and wrote some of the music for this was the same dude who did the Chrono Trigger soundtrack. It's an absolutely incredible OST as well, despite the limitations of the SNES hardware.

Oh yeah the Chrono Trigger OST is immense, some outstanding tracks on there. :wub:

Finally finished this. Another 8 hours played this year to level up for the final boss and then realised I was just handling the last bit incorrectly.

150 hours, think i have done nearly everything
