I usually link people to CEX when they ask about 3, but yeah, no more. (Ditto eBay.) Good luck with your search!

Did you see the news about the Yakuza dev saying the other mainline PS3 games could end up being remastered too, if there's demand for them?

Yeah, but yakuza 4 was £5 to download, 5 is £25 to download too, so the originals will be cheaper for a while. I think I have a line on a (relatively) cheap copy of 3, not going to say much more than that at the moment.

I don't know why, but whenever I get into a series I have to get every title just to know I have it all ready to go.

And done. US disc copies are on sale on Play Asia, so even with the prepaid import fees and import taxes it still came to about £35, which is steep but still less than ebay/cex prices. Now to actually play the first two games, get kiwami 2 in august and then get round to this :shifty:

Having started playing my first ever Yakuza game (Kuwami) just last week, and enjoying it so far, I’ve taken a punt on Zero too. Added to backlog of course but I hope to play it soon.

Price will probably go down lower before I do of course!

Given how profoundly silly Yakuza games can (apparently) be, if you hadn't said it was a glitch I would have just gone along with it being legit part of the game.

I could get into this, after about 3 hours I gave up. It just seemed to be constant, very long, cut scenes that I found a little dull. I don't remember 3, or even Souls being as bad in this regard. Perhaps I was more patient back then.

As I watched my brother play Y0, I remember thinking strawberry float that's a lot of dialogue :lol: So yeah, if you aren't into the drama of it all, it can seem a bit much. Best way to play the game is to put as much distance between the story scenes (as they're the heaviest on cut scenes and dialogue) by doing as much of the optional stuff as you can (real estate/club mini game, arcades, karaoke, sub stories, etc, etc) that way you don't get too bogged down in them.

0 really is by far one of the better games in the series, so it may be worth coming back to down the line when you have the time for it.

Started this last weekend after my friend kept telling me to. Completely blind to everything except the fact that Majima is a good boy.

I did think that may be the case, but I couldn't seem to escape the incessant cut scene loop. I was barely using the controller, eventually I got sick of it and traded it in. The next day a video pops up in my YT feed about excellent games that start slowly. Of course this was amongst them and sellers remorse ensued.... :(

Been spending so much time doing the retail mini-game with Kazuma. I've just taken over the entertainment king's territory and tebagged the gooseberry fool out of that Jappy bugger man.

Sex King, or whatever he was called. The drag queen. Dirty sex man. He was the coolest. Because he said things like "shantay away". Althouh I do think Japanese pipples are still perttu backwards and homophobic.

But me making big cash moneys now with Kazzy

Dirty sex man!?! :slol:

Finished this on Friday and absolutely adored it. Got Kiwami downloaded and ready to go but just waiting until I have a nice chunk of evening spare before starting. Maxed out the real estate and cabaret club mini-games and almost all the sub-stories (just a few telephone club ones left untouched) but didn't get swallowed up with the gambling stuff.

I know many regard 0 as the best, but I really hope the others aren't too much of a drop down in quality.

Started this last week myself and have sunk in about 15 hours, I think I'm near the end of chapter 4. Kiryu and Majima are great and really endearing protagonists.

Smashed through the last 5 or so chapters the other day and finished it. Didn't get close to 100% but I did play for over 60 hours and had an absolute blast.

Despite having this on PS4 and not started it, I already pre-purchased it on Steam :shifty: Yakuza needs more love and more money from me, will keep giving them money.

I still need go back to Yakuza 5 and beat it, but after that I'll start 0 on PS4 (or PC depending on when I finish Yakuza 5. I'm near end, on finale chapter but my ps3 isn't set up at the moment...)

Just finished chapter 14... I really did not expect the story to be as engaging as it has been going into this game. The characterisation is just fantastic.

I've put in 60 hours and only just passed 50% completion. :lol: I think the hostess club substory is the only other thing I can be bothered to go out of my way to do at this point, I've won the first rival battle but the amount of grinding required for the rest will determine if I go ahead with it.
