No. Of the Yakuza games I have played, this one has the most downright disappointing arcade line up.

Ah thats a shame, but I think the sequel has a fully playable Virtua Fighter? I downloaded the Kiwami 2 demo off the Japanese PS Store, which is ready to play once I have completed Kiwami!

Hokuto ga Gotoku which is the Yakuza take on Fist of the North Star allows you to collect Master System games and play them. Not sure about what arcade games though.

I'm sure I saw OutRun :dread: in one of the trailers. (Its cabinet was revealed after the player drove into a cargo crate.)

Oh, boy, yes - this aspect really draws me in! SoK has played the demo, too.

Why the dread, Saint?!? OutRun is ace (I think it's the arcade version that is included rather than the MS version... although I like that version too!).

:dread: Because I am awful at it even though I've been playing it for years. That and it was already playable in Yakuza 0.

18 hours in and only just reached chapter 6. I really enjoyed this game on the PS2 but I'm absolutely in love with it this time around. Judging by comments here I need to get 0 asap.

Why does Kiryu play sexy sexy beetle ladies with little kids?

I beat them all anyway. Silly little kiddies.

And I spent two straight hours in the gambling den today. So glad I don't gamble in real life as it's so addictive. My brother has to borrow 3.5K from our parents to pay off a gambling debt recently. And he's not even yakuza!

I think I'd be more susceptible to gambling if I didn't suck so damn much at card games.

I definitely have finally clicked with this game. I tried getting into the original at least three times and I always ended up bouncing off of it for some reason.

But I've been thoughroughly enjoying myself. Just started Chapter 6 and looking forward to finding out where it's going.

Onto chapter 10 now. Chapter 9 was an awesome change of pace. I couldn't remember it at all though from playing the original years ago.

strawberry floating hell.
The boss fight against Shimano at the Funeral lasts about 4 times longer than it needs to.

As fun as it is at first, by the time you get to S rank the Majima Everywhere system just becomes a complete annoyance. I just want to do side stories, not get surprise attacked for a fight that's going to last about 10 minutes every time because of his gigantic health bar.

Yeah I've been avoiding him as best I can. Jumping into shops and other buildings if I see him coming for me as it resets him.

Just want to get on with the story. Really need to go back to this. Been distracted by Far Cry and want to get through this before Kiwami 2 comes out.

I can avoid the walking around one, but it's the surprise attack one that's pissing me off. I wasn't long down the street when suddenly he jumped out of a bin. Once that fight as over I was walking around and got attacked by a random ruffian, not one of the ones you can run from but one of the ones that suddenly happens, and then suddenly Majima forced his way into the fight even though it was literally right after the previous one.

And what the hell do you do with Red Kiwami actions? Being in Dragon style doesn't give any prompt unlike Blue/yellow/pink. So red just means free health regen for the enemy.

It's one of the final unlocks for Dragon style.

I'm so glad Yakuza 6 got rid of the multiple-health-bar-bosses-that-also-heal-themselves bullshit.

And yet they throw bosses at you that use it long before you could ever possibly unlock that.
