Yes but that pub was about five minutes on foot from being outside Westminster, not fifty minutes on a tram :lol:

I am still deciding whether I can make this. I would like to come and I'm planning to not be drinking around then so could potentially drive (if I'm brave enough to do the M60). However I've had a really nonstop month of travelling for the summer holidays (culminating in a bout of Covid) so the idea of spending a weekend away from my house ever again isn't actually that appealing right now!

Right then.

As has been pointed out, Arcade Club is a fair tram ride from the city centre, and a bit of a walk besides.

Given that most will be coming in by train or coach, most likely to Piccadilly or Chorlton St. bus depot, it would be prudent to meet up beforehand and make our way out together. Thus, I propose the following:

-12PM we meet at The Piccadilly Tavern, 71-75 London Road, M1 2BS. The halfway point between train and coach station, just off Piccadilly Gardens.

-1PM, assuming all are present, we set off for Bury.

-2PMish, we arrive at Arcade Club, rendezvous with anyone who made their own way, and a good time is had by all.

I had an eye on popping in to say hello for a bit as I'll be on my way up North to a wedding but the timings don't work out sadly.
