YODEL, Evri, and other delivery incompetence Stories!

Are strawberry floating useless!

2x I have had orders from Amazon left outside my house in full view of everyone to steal in the rain so the packaging gets soaked!

The other day I had to return something and went online to arrange a collection for the next day. They tried to collect it the same day when I was out! than I called the number on the card they left and the reference number they left did not exist!

They arrived the next day anyway and collected the package but another van arrived 3 hours later to collect the same package!

Now I have just come home to find my coffee delivery on my doorstep dripping wet!

Rant over!

Yodel delivered (and took back and delivered again) my telly when they said they would (not just the day but they were on time too -between 7 and 10am). Never had any issues with small packages either.

Maybe you should get a bigger letter box, Rubix?

Yodel are gooseberry fool, pretty sure I've ranted enough about them in other threads in the past, but yeah they are gooseberry fool!

Star Wars Saga BR was the last time I had a problem with them and it took them over 7 days to deliver it and also lied over the phone about when it was getting delivered after I called to complain and ask where the strawberry float my Amazon package was. Also they use a premium rate number and you are on hold no matter what time you call for almost 10 minutes before someone answers.

So yeah, they're gooseberry fool.

Every time I've ordered from Nespresso, the box has been packed inside a heavy plastic bag. Have they stopped doing that?

Simple way to fix it is to report your packages stolen. You get a new one (lol) and the worker gets reprimanded.

Don't complain to them mate. I worked for a company over the Summer and we used Yodel as one of our primary couriers and you'd be shocked at the amount of times people called in to complain about them. There was really nothing I could do other than call their support line, and they truly are strawberry floating useless 90% of the time. The amount of inquiries I had to make with them was ridiculous, especially as you'd think that their support lines for contract holders would be a little better.

I bought something on amazon, and after the total non-delivery, where I sat looking out the window, and saw on their online delivery thing that a delivery had been attempted. So rather than try to get a redelivery, I arranged to go down to the depot and get it myself. It took hours, cost a bit, and I will never knowingly use them again. Surely the weight of complaints should get trading standards involved or something?

Yeah apparently they changed their name and rebranded due to all the bad press they were getting as HDNL.

Where I live Yodel seem good. I have returned two items to Amazon and both times they have been great. Same goes with HDNL who people have a lot of bad experience with.

My favourite delivery company is DPD though as they text you with a 1 hour window of when they are delivering. I have received delivery from them about 2 times so far and they have been spot on.

Delivery companies in this country almost make me glad nearly everything I buy is imported. So it's either Fedex, parcelforce (who are gooseberry fool, but at least you get your stuff) and Royal Mail who are still very good at getting parcels to me. HDNL and Yodel (same thing) are hilarious and don't even let me mention CityLink who are crazy expensive.

If u run a business , parcel force and royal mail are still best in business.

IMO Nothing beats DPD, which strawberry floated me off the day we changed our upgrade deliveries to the bag of wank shite that is UKMail (Who are a billion times worse then YODEL)

I thanfkully never had one single issue with HDNL and thus far no issues with Yodel; bar them always getting me packages at 5pm (due to my address being the last one on route to the yard)

I did have a magical moment with Royal Mail with the Zelda delivery, where the driver walked up the path, no parcel in hand and just posted a "Your not home, come pick up" card. I walked outside and called him a prick and to get the parcel and walk back down. He did so in such disgrace
