I'd be even more mad if I'd actually paid more for next day

And then it strawberry floating arrives at 20 past four

Wonder what would've happened if I'd gone out this afternoon, safe in the knowledge that my delivery had been delayed until tomorrow

I've got an international delivery from yodel due today. It's two days late already but says the van is out. Only the entrance to my cul-de-sac is closed because an old building is falling apart in the winds so there's fencing blocking the road meaning you actually have to drive on the pavement off a bit to go round it.

It's not coming is it? :(

Just had a delivery from Yodel. The guy knocked on the door and gave me a parcel which is an amazing achievement for Yodel. Looks like they might have started actually delivering parcels.

Must be a one off. My dumbbells were apparently signed for by someone in my work who doesn't exist. The other half was then signed for by a neighbour of an address that doesn't exist (according to the royal mail).

Yes, cheers Yodel you useless bunch of lazy banana splits. :x

It seems BrewDog have moved to Yodel for deliveries.... I was excited about beer coming, now I may not see it or if I do it will just be a soaked box and smashed glass.

Amazon Logistics :dread:

I ordered my friend's birthday present and he wasn't in when it arrived last Friday. I told the driver that I lived in a different city and so could he leave it in a local Amazon Locker. "I don't know if I can do that, we'll try tomorrow..." Okay, tomorrow's Saturday, that's cool. Turns out my friend had plans and was out again. I got a different guy this time (who admittedly did offer to come back later that day which was quite good), and I couldn't get a word in edgeways when I was trying to talk to him and he kept repeating the same blindingly obvious facts:
"SO WHAT I CAN DO IS WE CAN COME AND DELIVER IT TOMORROW BUT IF HE'S NOT IN IT'LL GO BACK TO THE DEPOT SO DO YOU KNOW IF HE'LL BE IN"
"Okay, I don't know if he'll be in, but co-"
"SO IF HE'S NOT IN IT'LL HAVE TO GO BACK TO THE DEPOT AND WE'LL HAVE TO DELIVER IT AGAIN BUT THAT WILL BE MONDAY AND HE'LL BE AT WORK SO WILL HE BE IN TOMORROW?"
"I don't know, but could you leave it a-"
"WELL IF HE'S NOT IN TOMORROW WE COULD TRY ON MONDAY BUT IF HE'S NOT IN..."

I eventually got him to tell me that I could change the delivery preferences to get it to go to an Amazon Locker. I couldn't :fp: Fortunately my friend was hungover from the Saturday so he was in

I was right, they strawberry floated it up.....

Have been watching the tracking and it shows at 12.44 I got a card posted because I wasn't in apparently.

I however was here as was my mum and I have no card posted...... strawberry floating lazy strawberry floaters!! Worst of all is I saw a Yodel van come out of the road opposite my house at 11am this morning so I can only assume he didn't want to have to get out of the van again so soon..... banana split

Here's a belter for you:

We were exchanging yodel stories at work, and one of the guys had them appear at his house a few days ago, first thing in the morning. He's at the end of a cul de sac, so often takes deliveries for neighbours.

For arguments sake, his house is say number 20

"Hi mr X, I've got a parcel for number 18 but they're not in, do you mind signing for and taking it?"

"Of course not" *looks at parcel*, "hang on, this says 20, we're number 20"

"Oh really?"

"Yes we're 20"

"....... Oh I guess this is for you then" ( :fp: )

my colleague signs for it and goes to work. Later that day his Mrs rang and asked if they had a parcel for number 18.

"...no, there was one for us"

"Oh number 18 had a card through the door sayin we had a parcel for them"

:fp: :fp: :fp:

So mr yodel accidentally manages to deliver a parcel to the CORRECT address, then puts a card through the door of a neighbour saying that a non existent parcel is waiting for them at the mistake delivery :slol:

Im guessing he put the card in their letterbox before you actually agreed to take the parcel. Which is also a shitty way of doing things.

Who said the parcel was on the way, the company your bought the bike from or DPD ?

DPD are usually very good, but companies can list their packages before they have provided them to the courier.

My new hoover is being delivered by My Hermes.

I live in an apartment building with a front gate. The guy would have get park up outside, get out, dial the right flat number, and then be buzzed in.

I'm not getting my hoover.
