Yeah, even though I pre-ordered the item, they didn't send it and it's now out of stock. I get that things sometimes go wrong but it seems silly to say "Arriving today" on the due day when it's clearly not going to... that just compounds the frustration.

Yeah I've had Amazon screw me over on pre-order games a few times. Every time I order a Digimon game actually.
Worst part is that there are other sellers who have it, even ones that say "Fulfilled by Amazon" but are more expensive

I have had a few occasions when my amazon preorders have been late and I always contact them via live chat and get a £5 refund, my Xbox One X was a day late and I got £25

Fuming with Amazon right now. I ordered Pokkén Tournament on Saturday for my nephew's birthday. One day delivery my arse. Waited in all day Sunday for it, only to be told it'd been delayed due to 'external factors' (i.e. the marathon, for which there were diversions planned weeks in advance)

No update to the tracking since 9pm last night, but I did get a visit from the delivery man- delivering a different order I placed yesterday! Surely they both come from the same depot?? Where the strawberry float was my first box when you were loading my second??

Parcel deliveries from Hermes.

Our delivery driver is great, very reliable but there's no way to contact upon failed delivery. The last few orders with various companies have used hermes and told me so, so I've been able to specify delivery to a local shop. This time I ordered some clothes and it turns out the shipping company is hermes. Now I have no way of telling them when I'll be in or out, so cue multiple failed deliveries at the same time every day but with no way to.actually speak to the driver or reroute the order.

Amazon are just terrible for deliveries now. They're either using Royal Mail but don't dispatch until a week later, or dispatch within a few days but use Amazon Logistics/Yodel.

I'd say GAME and Curry's PC World are the best choice for console deliveries in particular because they both use DPD or Royal Mail which have in-depth tracking information.

Hermes sent me an email at 10am:

'We'll deliver your parcel today between 12:00 and 13:00.'

Parcel turns up at 10:20am. :|

Not sure if it’s available to everyone but I had a delivery from Amazon Logistics today and I could track it on a map in the iOS app.

I was tracking Amazon Logistics today. At one point he was just around the corner and it said he had one delivery before me. He then drove miles away and it was another 2 hours before he got here.

I find the Amazon Logistics tracker really good, they must have changed the routes they take because I now get my deliveries at around 11:00 in the morning where as it used to be at around 17:30 - 18:00

It is good and is usually very accurate. It doesn’t stop the driver going on a two hour detour though.

Got a tracking number for a Royal Mail delivery, so I put it into the Royal Mail tracking website, and this is the message I got,

An update will only be provided when we attempt to deliver your item

Well what's the strawberry floating point of that then?

Good aint it, signed for does that you just get the number and when it is delivered / attempted, you have move up to "tracked" before you see tracking, I assume all the data is available they just wont show you it.

Had to post this here, had no idea this was there for 4+ hours. That's literally where the bus doors open outside my house.

Image

DHL this time via ipostparcels.com, £45 item. Yeah don't use that.

Here's one for ya!

I ordered Super Mario Party from Amazon on Tuesday, and it arrived yesterday- with no cartridge in it! And it was sealed!

I had a good one the other month. Amazon left it outside my safe place (My garage, which was left visibly open so they could place it in there) in the pissing rain.

Parcel was completely soaked through. Luckily the item inside was wrapped in plastic, but it was a £180 GPD XD+ Handheld. Miserable bitch on the Amazon webchat wouldn't give me anything other than "We're really sorry this happened. I'll pass that on."

Which is strange as I've generally had a really good experience with Amazon deliveries.

Kind of a reverse delivery issue - i've been selling a load of books to ziffit as we're moving soon and could do with less stuff/more money. The first time the DPD driver failed to turn up at all on the allotted day let alone the time, but I rebooked and they turned up. Same happened with the second (and thankfully smaller/cheaper lot) and now i've just received a "we tried to collect but you weren't in" text message. strawberry float. Off. They have my contact details, the doorbell works, i've been in all day packing, they just couldn't be strawberry floated. Guess i'll take these books with me and try a different service like musicmagpie because the drivers round here are clearly strawberry floating feckless morons.
