Not really. It looks much more like Yoshi's Island x Epic Yarn.

Apparently there are five "wonder wools" to collect in each level. Get 'em all and you are awarded a pattern to change Yoshi's appearance!

EG previewed this a few weeks ago. There seem to be few negative points which make me feel a little pessimistic about Yoshi and his Wooly World, but we shall see.

There's an easy mode where you get wings. That might address the difficulty issues. But then again, I found that Epic Yarn was easy if you weren't trying to gold medal/all collectables. It was kinda tough if you were. This might be the same with the collectables in Wooly World.

I've heard so little about this game and it's released next month. I guess all that money is getting thrown at Splatoon.
