Nintendo Project Cafe manages to finally blend the Revolution with hardcore gaming. It's clearly a step above the current consoles in terms of power (the Pixar-esque Mario 256 tech demo clearly shows that). Once again, the controller is revolutionary, it manages to combine standard control, motion control and touch control all in a brilliantly designed device that seems seemless and effortless to use but more than ticks all the boxes. Nintendo also reveal a new online system similar to PSN that competes with XBL but is completely free, alongside the inbuilt Blu-ray player the Cafe is a system for everyone. It'll launch at Christmas for £250 with Mario 256, F-Zero and Pikmin 3. For some though Mario 3DS steals the show, as revolutionary as it is retrospective, it looks great on the new 3DSlite thanks to the multiple viewing angles.
Microsoft After the disappointment of last year's Kinect unveilling, MS roll out the hardcore games. Stage demos of Fight Night and Virtua Fighter Kinect show just how accurate the Kinect has become, flawlessly picking up every tiny movement really immersing the player in the game. Few exclusives, but tonnes of new games and IP are shown. New console features are shown, Skype is fully integrated in XBL and video chat can be used in every single game (footage of FIFA 12 is shown with the opponant squirming in the top corner of the screen after conceding a last minute goal). The conference rounds up with a video, bits of footage flash up, something that looks like a live-action Halo movie, F1 footage (?), all looking realistic, is it new media functions (?), then a picture of a silver box flashes up and the video ends. What was that? "You'll have to wait for E3 2012". Slow motion playback reveals the numbers 7, 2 and 0 flashing betwenn the shots.
Sony Two appologies, firstly PSN, secondly the disgusting PS Move line-up. Mark Hamil takes the stage to show off the new Star Wars game for Move, full 1:1 lightsaber action. Next up, NGP, launching at £200 this Christmas some truely revolutionary games are shown using the augmented reality system. That's not the only price shock, PS3 is dropped to £200 finally putting it into the mainstread cost bracket. For some though, Sony win the show with their final announcement, Final Fantasy VII is to be rereleased at Christmas complete with a graphical overhaul that looks more like Advent Children than the original in terms of graphical quality.
Nightmare E3 Cafe drops motion control altogether, the new console looks no better than the 6 year old Xbox 360 graphically and the controller looks a complete cluttered mess that seemed to be rushed, no new 3DS games are shown. Microsoft's conference is dominated by casual Kinect games with Modern Warfare 3 taking up too much of the time. Sony spend their conference banging on about 3D, Sorcery is the only Move game shown and the NGP launches at $599 USD.

Not sure that the next Xbox will actually be called 720. It's a natural progression from 360, but while 360 is all about "encompassing everything" about gaming, or whatever, 720 would just be like "yeah now encompassing everything twice. We've gone round twice this time."
MS quit gaming and Nintendo concentrate on giving us hardcore titles. Sony buy all major publishers for a pittance and put PSN on everyones pc, tv and any other electronic device. Gamerforever becomes president of scee.

If MS quit gaming than so will I, 95% of my gaming time this gen has been on the 360.
NGP is less than £250 Cafe has a prope mario as a launch title MS give us a glimpse at xbox revolution 3DS lite is shown and is out by spring 2012
You honestly think that Nintendo are going to show a 3DS lite less than 3 months after launch of the current model?
Anything to give it a push. If they keep it the same its over for the handheld imo.
The DS had a slow start, too. Never judge a handheld on the first couple of months.
Then the DS lite was released. I think a huge factor is the price of the thing, it should be £99.99 going by the tech employed and from what I have seen so far.
