Your E3 2015 Game of the Show

I've had a look through the past two pages and couldn't find a topic.

So simply, what was your game of the show?

To me, I was a little bit disappointed by this E3 and didn't think there was much exciting new IP being announced, and hardly any with gameplay demos/trailers. Things that we already knew were coming or were sequels just don't get me excited. Yes, Fallout 4 looks cool and I loved the previous games and will probably love this one, but it doesn't get me excited.

The only real stand out that got me hyped was Horizon: Zero Dawn. New IP, big budget, looks great.

I'm sure there's stuff I've missed because I only really paid attention to the main conferences. There were certainly loads of indie games which people have been raving about but I'm pretty numb to the whole indie scene because I find things tend to get hyped a great deal. I prefer to just let them come out and see what others think of them.

Uncharted 4 for me, I think it's easy to overlook how good it is just because we're so used to Naughty Dog smashing it out of the park.

For me, definitely Fallout 4.

I've often mentioned that Fallout 3 is my all-time favourite single-player game and I've been a touch apprehensive that a new game could live up to my expectations. It's early days, of course, but from what was shown at E3 I am full of excited anticipation for Fallout 4. I like the styling and the gameplay appears to build upon previous entries in the series whilst adding new mechanisms and twists. The potential of the crafting and building looks amazing.

At E3, I also liked the look of PES 2016, Batman Arkham Knight, No Man's Sky and COD: Black Ops III. But Fallout 4 stands out as a shining becon for gaming during the coming months.

Fallout 4 - really can't wait to sink my teeth into it. I think it had the best conference presentation, I'm loving that it's coming this year, I like the variety of locations they showed and building entire settlements looks insane. The collector's edition pip-boy with second-screen app to accompany it is a brilliantly geeky idea, and mods for the console versions is cool news too :toot:

Probably Fallout 4, or Horizon: First Dawn. Not sure how anyone could say FF7 or Shenmue is their game of the show, games we only got trailers for that are at least two years away. Don't get it.

I'd say Horizon Zero Dawn stands out for being one of the only great looking high budget games that we hadn't previously known about. The fact I can get excited about it as it will probably be out within 18 months also helps it's cause.

Fallout 4, great reveal and excellent time to do so. So excited for the release, not too long to wait.

Some honourable mentions, Mario Maker, Just Cause 3, Rare Replay,

Best announcement was backwards compatibility for Xbox One. I cannot fathom how they did it, but they have. That has brought my interest back to the Xbox brand. Plan to get one maybe around September (if I can get a good deal).

The Last Guardian for me.

Good to see a big-budget release that isn't a shooter of some kind and which looks incomparable to anything else on the E3 show floor. Shadow of the Colossus is a special game and I hope it can live up to that.

For me its Forza 6 for sure; night racing, rain, some great new tracks and a proper roster (450+ at launch) makes it the game Forza 5 should have been.

Hard to choose between Uncharted 4 and Doom.

In terms of games coming out soon it's gotta be MGS5. That 40 minute playthrough looked amazing.

Its not what I want it to be.

Don't get me wrong a game full of just bosses might be cool, but that game makes me want more.

Horizon, robo dinos and design aesthetic, even though I'm not entirely sure what type of game it is yet.

Mario Maker a close second, that game impresses that more I see it.
