It’s so strawberry floating weird but I remember years ago reading the novelisation of Resi;CV (SHUT UP) and there’s a whole thing about how ‘human nature’ will apparently default to heading right given a left/right choice and thus in the book (and presumably game) when a similar choice is presented the correct choice is to head left.
