To be fair to whoever it was, Quantum of Solace was really really good. Infact, the majority of Bond films have all been great.

To the haters, the reason why I like Roger Moore's Bond is that it portrays him in a completely different fashion to everyone else. He's more out there with the gadgets and the storylines are a bit more mental. I love that.

It's also why I like Adam West's Batman as it's completely different to anyone else who has portrayed Bats.

I remember watching the commentary on the DVD version of Let Live and Die, is that one of the producers felt that Roger Moore being brutal just doesn't work (Roger Moore manhandling a woman, to extract information in one early scene) and that in the later scenes/movies, it was changed to a quippy Bond and a lot of brow-raising.

I have to echo Heaty's sentiments. Roger Moore was the Bond I grow up with and will always have a soft spot for him.

I particular like all 007 actors. On Her Majesty's Secret Service was spoiled by having Kojak as Blofield. The accent doesn't bother me as I can't hear it. Lazenby seems to be too "tall" to be James Bond though, for some reason. It's a bit unfair to dismiss him as he only was Bond one time.

Bronson is an excellent Bond, but most of the scripts he got is absolutely rubbish. Even more than Moore's. I think GoldenEye is the only good Bronson film out of the bunch.

Tim Dalton's films is strawberry floating good, and much more gritty.

For me, Sean Connery is the definite Bond. Most of his films will not be appreciated by the new generation though.

Craig Daniel is a good Bond, but he will be judged on how good the scripts are. Casino Royale was brilliant, QoS is a bit meh.

Quantum of Solace is the worst experience I've ever had at a cinema. The ridiculous shakycam during the opening chase gave me a headache right from the off, and the nonsensical storyline and awful, awful villain and finale meant I came out angry that I'd spent money to watch that gooseberry fool.

In case my point is not clear, QoS is the worst film I've ever seen at the cinema.

All the Bond films own. If you don't love them all you can't be called British. Finest example of British cinema.

I agree with SD's point. Struggled to find QOS good though
EDIT: not the bit about being British, but the general gist.

Never Say Never Again deserves to be in the poll, surely?

It's an unoffical 007 film. Despite having Sean Connery in it. I dont know how that works but...

It's shite anyway. Even 007's piss can kill a henchman in it. I think it is piss.

Yes. It is piss. My god.

Bond is seen by Blush and an attempt is subsequently made to kill him in the clinic gym: however Bond manages to defeat the assassin by using a sample of his own urine.

Licence to piss, 007?

 :fp:

But Sean Connery plays 007 in it, does he not?

EON's line up of 007 films are the official Bond films. Never Say Never Again is made by a different company.

And it's not included in the official Bond DVD boxsets, despite being distrubuted by the same company MGM/USA.

If it looks like a duck, waddles like a duck and quacks like a duck, there's a very high probability that it is a duck.

It's about James Bond. It has Sean Connery in it. It's a Bond film.

I respectfully submit that whether or not a given movie studio (for its own PR reasons, or perhaps more accurately, IPR reasons) describes it as such isn't relevant, m'lud.
