I haven't played Galaxy of Heroes in forever, but has it got to the point where you can buy individual characters for £25 like in Power Rangers All-Stars?

I enjoy a lot of Star Wars games but these are the ones I particularly enjoy/enjoyed.

Star Wars Episode 1 Pod Racer
Star Wars Rogue Squadron 1 and 2
Star Wars Jedi Knight Jedi Academy
Star Wars Knights of The Old Republic
Star Wars Battlefront 2 (the one that came out on the PS2, Xbox and PC)
Star Wars The Force Unleashed
Star Wars Trilogy Apprentice of The Force
Lego Star Wars

Still waiting for the Switch to finally get some Star Wars love though :(

Rather than just go +1 for all the awesome games already mentioned, I'm going to plump for Star Wars Trilogy Arcade. Looked fantastic, played fantastic, and nailed the feel of a lightsaber with a joystick. I really want this to get ported to a home system so I can play it again, however short it may actually be.

Will also try and grab the Unreal engine Ep 1 Racer before it gets Order 66ed.

No. But you can get 25-50 shards for a character, with lots of gear to power that character up for £45-75!

I'd say it's a sad state of affairs, but the fact they've reached this point means the game's making money. Unfortunate certain other games never found such success. *Sheds a tear for Galactic Defense*

I’m in a guild on it and they all followed the same thing, refusing to pay for anything and we’ve done well in most areas. We’ve got most of the legendary characters through hard grinding and we’re all damn proud of it.

Same with me on All-Stars, and even GTA Online. There's just little point in quickly gaining stuff when the reward is in earning it.

I'm not particularly a massive fan of Star Wars and have only played a handful of SW games.

Shadows of the Empire (N64) - loved the opening stage but the rest of the game was mediocre a best and I soon got bored.

Rogue Leader: Rogue Squadron 2 (GC) - Looked bloody lovely and was fun to play but I found it way too hard and it also gave me terrible motion sickness for some reason.

Jedi Knight II (PC) - Didn't really get along with this, mainly because my PC at the time could barely run it (12.5 fps does not make a pleasurable gaming experience).

KOTOR & KOTOR II - have had both in my Steam library for years and haven't played either.

That's my entire experience of SW games.

The first Force Unleashed game, that to me is what I think is the perfect basis for a third person action Star Wars game.
You feel like a powerful Jedi and the story was actually pretty decent, yes it was short but dam it was so much fun, I've must've played through it several times.

It's sequel on the other hand was alright but far too short and the story was crap.

The Force Unleashed was fine as a single game. I just wish the console versions had Order 66 and the other modes that the PSP version had. I'm hoping that Jedi: Fallen Order is going to take from its gameplay and improve on it, unlike what happened with Battlefront. The second Force Unleashed I remember being slightly better on how the controls were mapped, but everything else was terrible. About half the game took place on Kamino. Would have been better had it been a separate game with the mechanics of Force Unleashed instead of trying to add onto the first game and failing. The novelisation made for some good reading, though.

I like galaxy of Hero’s. been playing it daily since launch in 2015. As far as mobile games go it’s actually pretty easy to play without spending. I’ve not dropped a single penny and still do well. Of course if you can’t spend money you need to spend time!

I used to play and enjoy pretty much anything with the Star Wars name on it, put hours into the likes of Rebel Assault II and Yoda Stories despite them being pretty bad games. It was Star Wars, I was a Star Wars obsessed kid so I happily played them but my god were they bad!
Episode 1: Phantom Menace was another one that I remember being a particularly mediocre game but again I played through it over and over. :fp:

In terms of the ones which actually hold up, I'd have to go with these three...

Jedi Knight II: Jedi Outcast - This is still a blast to play, particularly after gaining a lightsaber and force powers. The lightsaber combat wasn't particularly complex but was really satisfying, it had a good story and the force powers were brilliant fun. I really enjoyed being quite powerful towards the end of the game, walking along picking stormtroopers up and throwing them to their deaths 8-)

Rogue Squadron 2: Rogue Leader - I was never particularly good at this but I still had a lot of fun with it, particularly playing the levels based on major set pieces from the films. I still think it holds up visually and I frequently go back and play through some of my favourite levels.

Episode 1: Racer - This was just brilliant, used to play this so much on the N64. Would love to see a modern remake, really quite underrated.

I could never really get into the X-Wing/Tie Fighter series, I came to it late anyway and the first game I played was X-Wing Alliance which I liked but I was just awful at so I never really got too far. Kotor was another one which just passed me by.

Honourable mentions would have to go to the first Jedi Knight (Dark Forces 2), it doesn't hold up that well today because of the levels being too maze like and a pain to navigate but it was really creative with force powers and I loved the branching story and the cheesy FMV.

I long for the days of really good Star Wars games, that Dark Forces level remake in the Unreal engine looks incredible.

Thoughts about the Mos Eisley demo:

1) Ermahgerd is pretty
2) I think I'm actually gaining fluency in reading Aurebesh
3) I want more single player Star Wars games again
4) I wish CBS hadn't killed the similar Enterprise D project

The sad thing is had Disney not licenced out Star Wars to EA we probably would have gotten more single player games. Worse still Disney's CEO recently stated that they're happy with EA's output. Several years and all we've had is two copy & paste online shooters and the loot box debacle and Disney are happy. Really does highlight how little interest Disney have in Star Wars outside of the franchise turning over billions of dollars for them.
