:?:

That's pretty accurate. A friend of mine moved to New Zealand. He still sounds like a Wurzel impersonator, his kids sound like Taika Waititi.

Nah that's when it's fine. My objection is something like Tangled (English parent, kid spent entire life in a feckin' tower, as English as Dubya) or Ni No Kuni (not quite clear but seems to be half and half American-English accents).

Is Donna Murphy the voice of Oliver? If so:
(a) she’s chuffing awful;
(b) I miscommunicated that. My issue is that she’s American but Ollie’s mum is British, and I think the hometown is 50/50?

She’s Gothel in Tangled. I have no idea who Oliver is.

The 'Hacker can get into every system and electronic device in existence within seconds just by frantically mashing the keyboard' trope.

May I add to that:

Person using computer does so exclusively via keyboard, and never uses a mouse.
Person using computer does so with whatever program running in a tiny window, with all sorts of other THE HAXX0RZ windows running gooseberry fool dotted around the screen (usually a rotating wireframe globe and scrolling text).

Just hacking in fiction in general to be honest.

Today’s one, courtesy of Ni No Kuni: https://tvtropes.org/pmwiki/pmwiki.php/ ... sedMission
Rayman Legends is the only game I can think of that’s done a stealth section well.

I'm not too into the main character basically being Jesus reincarnated or being amazing because of genetics. One of the things I liked in The Last Jedi was Rey having no relation to any major characters, it was a revelation that gave me hope as an individual with gooseberry fool genes. Shame how that went...

I refuse to acknowledge any negative words about Felicity and her magical hacking skills.

Felicity gets away with it because she's lovely.
