Used an electric on in Japan once it was great. But how is it hygenic? if that litte stick pops out and sprays you clean? It must wash itself or something. I remember it displayed a message "please wait" on the little lcd screen.

At home we have wooden ones.

Like this?

yeah but i manage to fit on the wooden seat coz I aint that big. So I don't need those extra wide platforms.
Squatting like that is better than squatting on the floor imo.

Might seem OCD but when I use the toilets at work I just squat with one leg LOL. Shoe off and place a piece of tissue between my sock and the seat. Coz I don't want to come into contact with the toilet seat.

I don't think I could bring myself to put my sock on the work toilet seat even with toilet paper in between. Might just try what you did but lift up the seat so I don't put my shoes on it, hopefully the bowl doesn't crack.

are the seats at your work place really that bad?? lol

Wow, so I tried doing this at home and it really is amazing, almost no effort and no mess! It was quite odd as it felt like there was something hanging but when I went to wipe, nothing!

I just realized now I have a little garbage can in my bathroom though so I could probably use that as a box like the guy in the video to get the same effect, will report back on it once I try it out. :slol:

Everyone who has not tried going like this needs to try it's amazing!!

It makes sense that squatting to do a number 2 is the right way to do it. Why else do they have those squatting toilets in China, Japan etc? Even in modern areas of Japan they have them like the public toilets at JR stations in Tokyo.

Are we westerners just stupid?

Glad someone here is agreeing to squatting "Rightey"

jamcc why do you say I am weird? because i prefer squatting? or that squatting with one leg thing at work? lol

what box thing?

update:
just watched the second video. I suppose the poop box thing helps if your toilet is too small or your too big to squat on the seat.

Apparently squat toilets are better for you because the human body is not actually built to poop in a sitting position, it you end up straining and such. This kind of makes sense because before we invented seated toilets squating was petty much the only way we could go to the toilet.

i want one of these but they are like £500 but it would pay for itself quickly, considering how expensive toilet paper is.

I'm scared to do a squatty poop, because I'd probably break the toilet seat, and I get really uncomfortable squatting anyway.

Whatever happened to just sitting on the throne and reading Autotrader while trying not to make straining noises?

It's not good form to make audible straining noises when there's people in earshot, especially if you're in a public throne room and there's people in the other stalls trying to have a dump. A throne room should be a man's own private kingdom and dumps taken in monastic silence as befitting those who sit on the throne. In the case of public throne rooms all you need to do is nod to your fellow occupants and they'll all know that you kept the silence, you did see that banger going for £500 in Autotrader and that your dump was a dump well dumped.

I actually prefer the hole in the floor squatting toilet, comes out nice and easy all the time and unfortunately my GF's place has them with her apartment being in an old building :fp: But would I strawberry float squat on a sit down toilet :slol:

And what's with removing the sock to put on the seat and stand on? Why not leave the strawberry floating sock on and stand on the seat :slol:
