Bret Michaels (Poison)
Nick Holmes (Paradise Lost)
Su-metal (Babymetal)
Danny Vaughn (Tyketto)
Freddie Mercury (Queen)

That's one hell of an ecclectic list, Freddy was indeed incredible but I can't say I've really heard the rest of them, might have to listen to them now.

I like all the bands mentioned so far, but I wouldn’t say Bret Michaels is that great. Nick Holmes is, though probably still not top five for me, but Paradise Lost would be in my top ten bands.

Layne and Freddie are likely to make my list. I need to think on this. First names that come to mind are Geoff Tate of Queensryche, Claudio Sanchez of Coheed and Cambria, and the combined harmonies of Dug, Ty and Jerry of King’s X.

You've done a male list, do a female one as well.

Really? I used to love me a bit of Idlewild (the early stuff, before they went a bit MOR) but that man has one of the most monotone vocals I've ever heard.

These things are always highly subjective. I love his way of singing harmonies and can happily listen to Idlewild all day long. They’ve gone to some interesting places since the old days.

I’m a bit lover of folk so I quite like his solo stuff as well, although his recent push into a more jazz-inspired sound isn’t for me.

I always like Richie Sambora (Bon Jovi) when he did his solo stuff.
