Of the few times that I've been dragged to a nightclub (usually someone's birthday or whatnot) they've all been like that. Horrible places. I have honestly never understood the appeal. I pass by Cheltenham's 'premier' nightclub MooMoos every morning on my way to work and there are usually several piles of dried puke up and down the road outside the place every day. It's strawberry floating gross.

Thankfully having reduced my social group substantially (and of course being much older) nightclubs are no longer on the menu when heading out with friends.

Same with me and my friends too i have even said that i can't think of anything worse then a nightclub now. All of us would rather go out to a pub for a catch up or go for a curry then pub afterwards. Even when people at work say mainly a few youngsters "come out with us we a going to club" "nope" i'm to old for that gooseberry fool. Even the few times i have been out with friends this year latest i want to be out is 10pm.

I remember a club i used to go too when i was 18 and remember seeing the same grey haired guy in the club every time i went there over those few years after. That is sad being a guy in your 50's or 60's in a club full of 18-21 year olds the club had a 80's cheese room never saw him in their.

You have one drink on an evening and wake up with a hangover the next day. I've no idea how this happens sometimes its bizzare. I can have a night out and be okay, but sometimes I can finish work, go home eat and have one drink and wake up ill the next morning.

Even when I was young I hated them and only went when forced to. They're all largely geared around British lad culture, which is a complete travesty (at least that was the case in the late 90's - late 00's when I used to get dragged into them).

There seems to be a template for the Generic British Nightclub and it's hellish.

I never enjoyed them when i look back at it was never a clubber. When i think about how much money you spend on a night out just say its a tenner for a cab to go where you going, you go to pub for beers before the club have 3 or so pints say another £12 per round. Then you get to the club another tenner to get in then pay for drinks at average £4-5 thats £100 spent on one night out literally burning money when you can save it. I know now clubs & pubs are more expensive but is it worth it when your young its fun at the time now its eye opening how expensive it is and the hangover the next day even worse when you have to work as well.
