Yeh , I work with a lot of 18- 20 year old women and pretty much ignore every thing they say

TikTok shows short videos based on your interests, is extremely simple.

I like Snapchat, it's a nice way to share with friends what you're up to without expecting anything in return. E.g. i would never text/WA someone to be like, I'm having curry for tea or watching a film. But this way you can share gooseberry fool with mates who would appreciate your culinary skills or the film you're watching, museum you're at, etc. And get theirs in return. It's a nice easy way to keep in touch on a daily basis.

You're 35?! Feel like you're quite far gone along the road of 'everything modern is shite' for that age!

I quite like Twitter - it's fun for posting gaming photos and (briefly, given the limited text size) chatting with folk who also like doing this - and Discord is okay (terrible for multiple discussions but fine for brief chats if it's just two people posting). Fallout 76 (and other Bethesda titles) used to have good forums but now they only use Discord and trying to have a conversation there is ridiculous; you'll have two people talking about setting out camp floor panels whilst two others post about unicorns and then a GIF meme will appear in the midst of all this.

Overall, I far prefer forums. I find that they're ideal for creating different areas of discussion and having decent communication between multiple people.

Discord sounds dreadful and the exact opposite of what I want out of a forum. Thank goodness this place doesn't run like that as I'd find it unusable.
