Was one of the big student nights when I was at uni, I imagine because of the sports fixtures that traditionally happen on Wednesday afternoons.

Same here, Wednesday was one of the most heavily promoted nights when I was at uni

I didn't go to university so I missed all that, but a pub right by the college had a pound a pint night on a Wednesday. You could get shitfaced for under £10 and still have change for some chips.

It was actually big enough at mine that my second year practical module which was scheduled on a Thursday explicitly told everyone at the start of the course that if they were going out on the lash on a Wednesday not to bother coming in hungover :lol:
