I wasn't familiar with this game, kerr, but it looks alright and the majority of reviews on Metacritic say it's decent. It'd be good to hear how you get on with it.

You are doing very well with Vampire Survivors. I think you must have unlocked many characters in total, Fisher!

I've been playing a game that's a mash up of Peggle and Slay the Spire: Peglin.

Image

I like the cute little goblin you play as and the graphics are nice and chunky.

Image

It recently got a Switch release, if PC gaming isn't your thing.

We should migrate GRcade to Flarum. :toot:

Yeah, this looked good in the recent Nintendo Indie show, Winckle. Is it important to aim for certain coloured pegs, though? Or doesn't the colour matter?

I'm glad you asked Jawa!

Hitting a peg adds damage to your attack. In the case of that basic level 1 Pebball in the screenshot each peg hit adds two damage.
The yellow peg turns the attack into a critical attack, which means you use the critical hit number, in this case 5 per peg.
The green pegs reset the board and bring back all the pegs you've already hit so you can hit them again. Crucial in long fights!

I saw you'd been playing this on Steam and so I checked it out. Absolutely looks like a game I could really sink many hours into so I've added it to my wishlist!

Ta for the info, man... but - alas! - any puzzler featuring a need for fast colour identification is a stretch for me due to colour blindness. A shame as this does look to be a lot of fun.

Do the little ! and R inside them not help? I guess they're hard to make out.

Yeah, I suspect that the fast-paced nature of the game wouldn't grant me the time to "check and compare" colours and symbols. Never mind, I hope that you and others get to enjoy it, Winckle :-).

It's not fast paced at all Jawa, it's turn based. No reactions needed.

I did a quick search on their discord for colorblind options and sadly they did add the ! and R back in 2022 during development and that's that as far as colour blind support goes.

Oh! I was thinking it was fast-paced... if I have time to look at the colours/symbols then I may be okay. Thanks, Winckle-san, I will take a look!
