Euro 2020: Italy win it; morons, encouraged by UK govt., racially abuse England's greatest team since '66.

Yep, goalies can be replaced on medical grounds throughout the tournament

Goalies can be replaced throughout the tournament, I believe.

Apparently goalkeepers can be replaced at any time.

Can goalkeepers be replaced at any time in a major international tournament?

It's not that confusing.

Scotland decided they would "stand up to racism"

England decided to "take the knee"

Both have the same end, they just picked different methods.

Is that what they are doing? I didn’t realise, if that’s the case why are teams or single players like Zaha for example criticised when they decide to stand up instead of kneel? As you say they are still standing against racism.

The criticism should come when players don’t do anything and just kick off or stand around talking whilst the other team knees or stands.

Which begs another question, why are Scotland changing their stance or the England game. If they are still standing up to racism then why are they being pressured to knee for that game?

Has Zaha been criticised?

He stopped kneeling, explained why and I've never seen anybody having a go at him for it.

Where has this idea of "pressure" come from?

There is no pressure. They saw what the England fans were doing and said that they would kneel in solidarity with the England players.

It's all easy to understand if you read what the England and Scotland teams have said.

Yeah I'm genuinely not seeing the issue here. England players take the knee. Scotland players stand still for thirty seconds, but have willingly agreed to take the knee on Friday in solidarity with their opponents, who have been abused for their stance by their own fans. There's been no pressure on anyone, or confusion whatsoever.

Yes but no-one has come out and explained why they're kneeling!

Thanks, if that’s the explanation then that makes sense. I hadn’t seen that mentioned anywhere.

It makes you realise what a strawberry floating battle there is to raise awareness of genuine issues when people can't even fathom something which has been explained to them over and over again!

"I know they explained it but nobody has explained it!"
