Duke of Orange can you confirm.

I do not believe I need to confirm anything more than I have previously, but that scenario appears correct.

Further analysis shows that:

albear - hasn't posted at all today
Captain Kinopio - hasn't posted at all today
Kezzer - hasn't posted at all today
PaperMacheMario - hasn't posted at all today
Pedz - has posted in GGC today
Roonmastor - hasn't posted at all today
satriales - hasn't posted at all today
VlaSoul - hasn't posted at all today
Zilnad - has posted in GGC today

Whilst everyone will have an excuse for why they haven't been posting, I think that Pedz and Zilnad should be up for the lynch as they're avoiding this thread like the filthy Conformists they are! :x

Or they have a role and as yet don't want to draw attention to themselves without having a plan.

Best way to draw attention to yourself is to not post in the game thread and still post elsewhere. Classic Conformist behaviour :capnscotty:

Well, no denying that suspicions can be drawn from a lack of activity in the thread but having such elsewhere. I just don't think you should be so quick to jump on them being evil

The position of Speaker is vacant pending election.

Laws in Effect

There are currently no laws in effect.

Laws for Proposal

Internal Affairs Act

The role of "Minister of Internal Affairs" is created, to be elected daily in place of the vote to lynch. The Minister of Internal Affairs decides the lynch candidate for the day and is protected from night kills.

* Emergency Powers Act [requires Internal Affairs Act]

The role of Speaker is abolished, the daily choice of law for proposal instead given to the Minister of Internal Affairs.

Protected Communications Act

Private communication, including via PM, is allowed between all players.

State Secrets Act

The number, names and descriptions of all roles in play will be published.

* Investigatory Powers Act [requires State Secrets Act] [REDACTED]

This law will be declassified on passing of the State Secrets Act.

* Voting Integrity Act [requires State Secrets Act] [REDACTED]

This law will be declassified on passing of the State Secrets Act.

Freedom of Information Act

Discussion of "Who is online" is permitted.

Ministry of Truth Act

The editing of posts is permitted.

Expedited Execution Act

The lynch vote will be concluded immediately on reaching a simple majority.

Stay of Execution Act

A "no lynch" vote is permitted.

Double Jeopardy Act

A double lynch will be performed on a tied vote to lynch.

Execution in Absentia Act

Every player must post once per day or face execution (unless extenuating circumstances are given to the Duke).

* Compulsory Lynching Act [requires Execution in Absentia Act]

Every player must vote for the lynch each day or face execution.

* Compulsory Voting Act [requires Execution in Absentia Act]

Every player must vote on the proposed law each day or face execution.

Repeal Act

Any law currently in effect may be repealed.

Church Conformity Act

The Conformists win the game.

Bringing this to the front so its easier for others to catch up.

fwiw

Internal Affairs Act - Is bullshit as we cant detect voting patterns.
Protected Communications Act - Anyone calling for this who as complained about protection circles can get in the sea
State Secrets Act - Should only be done after a role call so we can catch the baduns out.
Freedom of Information Act - Provides actionable intel but also warns the baduns to change settings so becomes moot
Ministry of Truth Act - Important for hiding information / last will and testament
Expedited Execution Act - Not worth doing yet
Stay of Execution Act - Can be used for both good an bad
Double Jeopardy Act - Helps the conformists more than us
Execution in Absentia Act - only good if we have lots of inactive players but smart baduns will get around this.
Repeal Act - Probably good to get this one from the outset
Church Conformity Act - strawberry float off.

It is a little suspicious but at this stage they may not have realised the game is live. Is this thread stickied btw?

My right honourable friends,

There seems to be some misunderstanding - some of it apparently wilful - surrounding the Internal Affairs Act.

As an example, I cite the Honourable Member for Insomnia below:

Kezzer wrote:Internal Affairs Act - Is bullshit as we cant detect voting patterns.

In the instance that the Internal Affairs Act passes, it would be required for members to vote upon a new Minister for Internal Affairs every day. This vote would take place in the thread. I fail to see, then, how this would prevent us from detecting voting patterns?

A bit of dramatic license is sometimes needed to spice up these dull Parliamentary sessions ;)

If they have good reasons for not posting in this Chamber but doing so elsewhere I will be more than happy to hear them, but until then it's suspicious in my eyes. We have such little to go on with these early lynch candidates, I've not seen any other suggestions for the rope.

I'm fine with a zero post count at the moment, as some people will be working until 5pm. But if they are posting elsewhere then they should be engaging with the game.

I'm aware that people want to lie low to avoid detection, either as a special role or someone worthy of being killed, but even then you can still vote or chip in with a post or two.

As it seems pertinent and for avoidance of doubt, "Repeal Act" is not itself an act that needs to be passed, but a placeholder for repealing any previously passed law. I apologise if this was unclear.

I also find it a bit suspicious that Kezzer jumped in to post a few minutes after I'd highlighted their lack of posting, almost as if they'd been given a heads up by another player... are we sure the wolves can't PM already?

If they've any sense they'll be on WhatsApp

One thing I remember from yesterday, Zilnad said his work has blocked GRcade so he can only post after work. But if he's posted on GRcade today elsewhere...

I feel that would be a serious breach of Parliamentary protocol - as it would need some PM coordination to organise numbers/contacts etc.

I certainly wouldn't put it past such a scummy group of Conformist bastards (apologies, I forget myself, but passions run high when it comes to the Dukedom!) but I'd certainly hope that wasn't the case.

Just checked and Zilnad posted at 7:38am which is probably before he left for work. He hasn't posted since so I'd give him a pass for now.

Here is an Idea, whoever nominates themselves as speaker should declare their role.
