Satisfactory ending to a series which was always entertaining, but never quite seemed to hit the heights of the best shows. Still, if you want some Viking-y action and have already watched, er, Vikings, you could do a lot worse.

6/10

Couldn't have said it better myself! :toot:

The Last Kingdom (Season 5) - 6.5/10
This always suffered from releasing its seasons at the same time as Vikings. While it was never a top tier show, it was usually pretty solid. Though this final season was a bit disappointing, it was good to see the story properly wrapped up.

Ms Marvel - 6/10
Vellani was great as Ms Marvel, as was its visual style, but i really didn't care for the story. Not for me; guess I'm too old :(

Pistol

Hit and miss music biopic from Danny Boyle. Performances are pretty spot on for the most part, but the story is never really compelling enough for a six part series. In particular the Sid and Nancy stuff is glossed over way too much, and the final episode peters out in anticlimactic fashion.

5/10

For All Mankind S1 - 7/10

Very cool of Apple to make a TV show of my attempts to play Kerbal Space Program.

I've heard this gets miles better in season two, which is good because as enjoyable as this is it's hokey as hell in places. Especially when it tries to do those presidential recordings.

Lost in Space: Season 2 - 8/10

Really enjoyed this, the action and peril was a little ott sometimes, but in this series it just seems to add to the fun.

The Marvelous Mrs. Maisel Series 1.

Absolutely brilliant, and her father has some of the best comedy timing I have witnessed. He steals every scene he features in.

Just finished Stranger things Season 4. I've been a big fan of this show up to now, but to be honest found this a struggle, which is a shame as it had some great bits, but also many not so great bits.

The ending felt incredibly rushed and tacked together, which is odd as the episode was way longer than it had any right to be. It just all felt very thrown together towards the end and the pacing was all off.

The editing of the season has been dreadfull. Most of the scenes felt like they were twice as long as they needed to be, and that final episode runtime was ridiculous. Didn't add anything for me. Neither did the whole Reveal/lore stuff. I much prefer the mystery and not everything needs to be interconnected like a Marvel film. Speaking of which, I also much prefer the stuff set in the real world than the Upside Down (bar Russia). I want more Saved by the bell than Doctor Strange. I'm probably just getting old but so much CGI and I just switch off a bit.

I wonder if they are rushing it because of the kids aging. Wouldn't surprise me.

S1 - 9/10
S2 - 7/10
S3 - 8/10
S4 - 6/10

Stranger Things really lost me after Season 1. I can see why people like it but for me I'd have preferred the mystery to be unsolved and for the series to have been an anthology series as originally (possibly rumoured) planned. I have people trying to give series 4 a try and I just can't bring myself to.

Halo series 1

I really enjoyed it.
I know it's not the story of the game or books but I'm ok with that.
The action is solid, the characters are decent and I feel making Master Cheif an actual character rather than just a walking tank is about the best they could have done.

I'm excited for series 2 so this get's a solid 9/10 from me  .

It's just a pity they didn't have an episode set in awesome future Luton  .

The Book of Boba Fett 7/10- Found the first few episodes with the flashback much better than anything with the Mandolorian. The pure Mando episode was a bit gooseberry fool really

Agents of SHIELD S1. Pretty good and well paced throughout the 22E. Bill Paxton does get a bit ridiculous towards the end. Parallels well with following the shield/hydra stuff with winter soldier. Will be interesting to watch the next season to see how they tie up with ultron and civil war. Fitz and Simmons are the best characters.

From - 9/10

Very reminiscent of Lost so I'd recommend it to anyone who enjoyed that show. The monsters in this are genuinely quite creepy.

This sounds interesting - what channel or service is it on?

It's on Sky Sci-Fi. The showrunner worked on Lost & Fringe.
