Yeah totally get that mate, I think it was my coping mechanism kicking in to just try and make sense and understand why America is holding this stance, but think yours and others explanations gives a very good account as to the reasons why.

Is what I would say if I was a sheeple... #deathtoallizardmen

It's Occam's razor. American politicians are psychopathic arseholes who only care about money and power.

Israel's "limited" ground invasion of Lebanon is underway, and now it's reported that Iran will launch a missile attack on Israel "imminently". So on it goes.

BBC News - https://www.bbc.co.uk/news/live/cg4qx62kkxxt

The US has issued a “shelter in place” notice for US staff and their families at their embassy buildings in Israel.

One other point - the statements coming from White House officials carry a warning that I didn’t pick up quite so explicitly in the run up to Iran’s April strike on Israel.

This time the unnamed officials warn Iran explicitly of “severe consequences” for Iran in the event of a direct military attack on Israel. That’s very ominous.

The US just expects Iran to sit idly by whilst the Israelis blow their country to pieces. Cool, sounds a completely reasonable request.

Short (but good) statement from Starmer with not many questions asked.

Breaking

Israeli military spokesman Daniel Hagari has said that the Israeli Air Force will "strike powerfully in the Middle East" tonight.

The talk now seems to be whether the inevitable Israeli response would be to finally destroy the Iranian nuclear programme.

Taking out any materiel that Iran sends to Russia wouldn't be a bad option either.

im not an expert but this response sounds awful in context: menaced the Middle East for far too long
well yes, but who has been killing thousands of civilians for the past year? :dread:

Eight Israeli soldiers killed in fighting with Hezbollah inside Lebanon, says IDF.

Well maybe you shouldn’t have strawberry floating sent them there.

Israel banning Antonio Guterres for not condemning Hamas enough (he did) and recognising October 7th didn't happen in a vacuum.
