it took me 4 devices running on various mixes of wifi and mobile signal to finally get in a queue, and even that was because I'd bookmarked the page I needed to be on the night before. Without it, I woulnd't have been able to get on at all as my ticketmaster queue pc browser window said I was through, then timed out :fp:

Absolute shambles. More websites need to be given tickets to sell too, rather than 2 sites getting jammed up.

I hate going to shops, but we need to go back to tickets only being sold in actual ticket shops. The queues would be annoying, but at least it'd stop the bots.

Good luck getting your hands on tickets!

I have multiple people sending me whatsapp messages on my phone, and as that's the device with the queue active on, there's no strawberry floating way i'm risking leaving that page :dread:

Down to 10837 now  You just know this strawberry floating thing will crash when I get to the end, or there will be no tickets left.

I remember when I was in Auckland NZ years ago, and I walked in to a proper record shop and saw by the counter that they were selling white stripes tickets for that night. I enquired and just bought one there and then along with a couple of CDs i'd picked. It was great!

I naively thought if I got up early and just tried to get on the website it would work

Problem is half the world is also trying to get tickets rather than just people in the UK. I don't know why they can't just apply some kind of UK residency rule. I guess people would just find a way around it.

I know it's too late already but at this point I'm just curious how long it takes me to get on the site. So far it's been an hour and a half but it stalled about half an hour ago so I'm pretty sure it's broken now or people are getting onto the website via other means. It's mildly tragic that if you don't do your research, have Reddit open for sneaky ways on, or get on multiple devices on different connections, then you really never had any chance.

Haha, one of those WhatsApp messages was me.

The ticketmaster queues are strawberry floating awful. The amount of times I've gotten to the end of the queue and it's crashed or then said "sorry no tickets available".

I know Glastonbury tickets are hard to get, but I like their system of people having to register and supply photos.

I don't see why Ticketmaster can't do something like that and cut out the touts and bots.

"Sir, look at these photos...Paul Wellar has registered for 85K tickets!"

Yes I hate this aspect. The only reason I got through to anything resembling a queue in the first place was because I went on last night to check my login details, and bookmarked a few pages, and even then 3 out of the 4 failed.

Best of luck - you must be close now! I'm at 15000 for a Wembley gig. I maybe have a chance unless everyone tries to buy 4x tickets each.

I managed to get 4 standing by paying extra for a coach travel package from Swansea despite living in Cardiff  :fp:

Just got through for the Saturday Cardiff date too and they're now charging £350 for "in-demand" standing, and looks like seated are now in the platinum surge pricing section. They really need to introduce some legislation to stop this from happening.

Dynamic pricing for these kinds of events is just the most disgusting kind of price gouging. Outrageous that it happens, but that's what you get when there's a monopoly on ticket sales.

My mate just managed to get 4 seating for Cardiff Friday night. All standing gone (except for platinum).

I kept saying I wasn't going to bother, but the talk of the awful queues made me curious if I could get in quickly. And when I did, I couldn't resist buying one.

Now you need to buy some waterproofs so all of the piss doesn't soak into your clothes.

We're on the lower tier of the Principality Stadium in a row towards the back (ie under cover of the second tier) so my mate was just saying how happy he is that he's not going to get covered in piss

Jokes on him, I'm going to piss in a cup and pour it all over him for that authentic Oasis gig experience

Well done, Victor!

Question for anyone who has got through the queue - when you're let through, can you look at any dates or just the date and venue for which you joined the queue?
