My name is Douglas Quaid.
As some of you have probably guessed after this evenings events, I am immune from Alpha attack. Recently I have began to remember someone else's life and more about my role on this base before it all went to gooseberry fool.
While on the subject of gooseberry fool... I would like to lodge a complaint with Shadow and our other fellow restroom attendants after what I found left in the communal showers this morning...
Shortly after the virus outbreak which put us all in quarantine together, I made contact with Karl, Falsey and Cora in the hope I could find somebody else with a similar set of skills to myself. Obviously this situation we are all in does not lead itself to secret circles and as such I have been working alone during this game. Our three fallen comrades were the only people I entrusted with my secret.
And it wasn't until very recently I learned the secret myself. I fear that time is short for all of us so I have decided it's time to tell everyone about this and hopefully we can all work together in our last ditch attempt over the next few days to save ourselves and our home planet as we know it. I know many of us here have left family back at home and will stop at nothing to keep them safe from what we are living with here.
Because I have been working on my own I have been unable to contact our Space Marine corps. and help vet our staff on the base for infection. I have been running a smaller vetting operation on my own and as such have likely checked out a few members that have been given the once over by our Marines.
I did manage to tie up some lose ends early in this week. We had already lost Falsey and Karl, which left Cora the only member on this base who knew my real identity. I entered the stationary cupboard to ask him if he had passed my information on to other members here. He was unresponsive and only wanted to kill me. It felt like somebody else took over me. When I came too I found Cora dead in the corner with stationary scattered around my feet.
I could see my handwriting on a note pinned to his chest with our company issued paper clips. I panicked and ran, this had to be another bad dream.
Over the day I had suspicions of Mini E. I knew a member of the Marines had gone rogue and Mini E was acting strange. Somebody came to me privately and trusted me with some information. Mini E was a Marine and had supplied my contact with information regarding other members of our crew. It was all pretty vague but we were all taking a beating each night, all I remember was ripping him to pieces in the corridor outside the library.
Kezzer had kept pulling me over to the side of the room during the week and was asking very personal questions
It seemed strange to me so I had him up the top of my list of suspects. I knew he wasn't the source of this virus and had to be someone tasked with finding out more about me and my role here. I left it a few days so it wasn't obvious the questions that he was asking led to his demise.
And so that leads us on to what happened today...
