Soul Calibur V and it's ridiculous the amount of people that quit when you're winning.

Spent the afternoon playing split screen co-op games with my 10 year old daughter. Played Battleblock Theatre (she loved the intro, got a bit bored of the gameplay 5-6 levels in), Serious Sam 3 (great laugh), then Portal 2 (both felt quite clever for working the puzzles out).

All in all a lovely afternoon. :)

The Walking Dead on Xbox 360.

Okay-ish, I guess. Very well written but I'd like a bit (lot) more interaction.

Killer Is Dead on PS3. It's okay, I'm renting it but if I'd actually bought this I'd be a little disappointed. The story makes no sense whatsoever but the game is fun enough if a little button bashy.

Astebreed on PC - a very interesting shmup with a shifting camera angle, interesting combat mechanics and the usual mental Japanese story with mechs, aliens and existential gibberish.

Good fun and an interesting scoring mechanic - build up combo meter by shooting little minions then cash it in by sword-killing the bigger ships. Got through the first two levels and then got owned, so might have to kick it down a notch first.

Still playing this, done the first 3 episodes so far and it's been a lot of fun. Only playing on Kids mode but its still challenging in parts.

I got as far as the boss rush level in Viewtiful Joe when I played it back at launch then rage quit and never went back.

The best part of the story was the game was a Christmas present from my mam and I traded it in after I got stuck. Not long after new year she asked how the game was going and I sheepishly told her I had traded it in she was canny pissed off so I told her it was bastard hard and that I'd like to see her try and play it.

I bought it again off eBay a year or 2 back and I'm determined to go back and finish it one day.

Adult mode I believe. I hate boss rushes, why should I have to kill every boss I've already killed again?

That's as far as I got too, shame as I loved it up to that point. Boss Rush sections in games are the worst thing ever.

SSX:

Fun game (it's not as good as 3 though) but the structure of the story mode in this is all over the place, on the 2nd/3rd rider in you get the wingsuit to play with which is great fun, entirely changing the way you play the game. Then the next 3 pieces of gear you get to play with are an oxygen tank, a solar panel and a strawberry floating headlamp

Whilst these do add an interesting level of challenge to the gameplay they sure aren't as interesting as the wingsuit

After talking about Viewtiful Jos earlier I decided to give it a blast. I'm currently at the mid point of the 2nd episode.

Since the game keeps track of the number of times you continue after getting game over I was wondering does this count actually matter?

Perhaps it effects your end of game rating? Not sure though. You playing on Adult mode again?

Zone of the Enders - 2nd Runner: A ever so slightly unfair checkpoint is seriously strawberry floating pissing me off :x

FF X: Sphere Grid :dread: Yuna CG :o

Doki-Doki Universe: I have no idea for how much longer I will keep coming back to this glorified personality test, but I am glad I bothered playing it.

Think I might start on Dead Space 3 instead of carrying on with 2nd Runner.

Viewtiful Joe. :x

One of those GameCube games I cannot seem to finish. It's too difficult for me. :x

I absolutely loved it though. I can't remember if the previous bosses appeared before the final boss (he seems to be on fire or something like that.) but I must have lost a lot of lives during that process.

So unfair.

On another note: I started Batman: Arkham Origins on the PS3. Is it me or what? It looks very rough compared to the PS3 version of Batman: Arkham City, even at its max resolution of 720p?

Couldn't quite remember. I think so, if it's the standard difficulty.
