For context I'm basically a graduate but with one year of experience from my first job out of uni, which I lost due to redundancy
I thought getting a new one would be easy by now what with the added expereince but I'm not getting many interviews. Wondering if my CV style is inappropriate. Is there anywhere one can get a critique?
Go to a recruitment agency. I was out of work for 4 months, not hearing back from applications etc etc, popped in to Reed the day before going home for Christmas, just after new year got a call that they'd put my CV in somewhere I'd never heard of, who wanted me to do some online tests, which then followed through to a couple of interviews and a job offer. Whole process probably took about 2 weeks accounting for the holidays. They gave me coaching on interviews too which was a massive boost cos it helped me identify weak points and avoid them (as much as possible anyway lol)
I'm not on as much money as I was at my last place, but I strawberry floating hated working there, and it's more money than I was on otherwise, so it's all good
