Luckily for me it happend as I was in having a piss so the girl collecting the glasses at the time dealt with it, leaving my cowardly self to just look at the corpse of the thing after.
Did you report it?
I didnt know I was supposed to.
If it was an Asian hornet and not a European hornet or whatever then yeah you are supposed to as they're invasive. I'd get in contact with the relevant agency because they might need to hunt for a nest.
I've got a phobia of wasps (spheksophobia) and bees (apiphobia). I've worked really hard to try and control my bee phobia and I've made real progress. As long as I'm not in an enclosed space with a bee I'm actually pretty good around them now. Wasps are so much harder to get over though because they are so aggressive. I was on a recent family holiday and the in-laws insisted on eating outside one day - I actually binned everyone off and went inside to eat because the wasps were just too much. My son knows about my phobia and I'm trying so hard not to pass this fear onto him - a wasp actually landed on his hand at the zoo last week and he just stayed still until it flew off like a normal person
- I'd still be in a strawberry floating coma if that happened to me
strawberry float knows what I'd do if I saw a hornet (Asian or otherwise)
