Ahh, those reviews make me feel all warm and gooey inside.

I've been taking advantage of the Xbox One BC to "replay" some of the titles early, to get myself in the mood for the others.

It's been the one that got away for five years, but tonight the Crowning Glory achievement in Perfect Dark XBLA became mine! I really struggled to get the Gold (Perfect Agent < 1h35m) crown, as well as the Three Kings crown, when I was playing it originally. I had stopped trying, but still been playing pretty regular multiplayer so I guess I was just honing my skills without realising it. I found myself breezing through the levels on Perfect Agent and managed to get the Three Kings crown too! :toot:

However I've only got about 180% completion on the leaderboards, rather than 201%, so now I need to find out what I've been missing.

I'm sure that I have a lot of levels to do on Perfect Agent in co-op. Maybe you do too :shifty:

I'm streaming now
http://www.twitch.tv/sdragon64

Edit: I think that Perfect Dark 64 killed my stream as I couldn't get it to show up after I loaded it. I decided to call it a night after shooting a few guards at the top of the dataDyne building.

I managed to complete the first level of JFG, and find all the Tribals on my first go :toot:, but it was definitely a lot harder to control than I remember. I completed most of the game on the N64 and never really struggled but I can see that it'll take some more time to get used to the controls here. I am very tempted to wait for a patch for the controls before continuing but I'll give it another go later in the week.

Hopefully something is done about the frame rate in the near future. I wasn't expecting a Majora's Mask 3D level of presentation but seeing the frame rate drop was disappointing. It's just like playing the N64 version, in a bad way, but at least it looks clearer than it would be with the original hardware on a HD screen. I feel that we should at least be getting a locked 30FPS from the N64 games in this package.

I am really excited by trying out the N64 games. Other than Goldeneye and the 360 version of Perfect Dark, I missed all of Rare's output on the N64.

Still remember when I nailed the final platinum in Blast Corps. :datass: :datass: strawberry float, THAT was a very real challenge when I was only 14! Almost makes me want to pick up an XO for this comp.

Mine turned up this morning, half way through the long install. Now to figure out what 360 games to download first.

I've no interest in this, I already own Banjo and Perfect Dark and have both on my X1.

Is Viva Pinata and Banjo nuts & bolts worth it?

I didn't think Nuts and Bolts was as bad as people made it out to be. Quite liked the cars. Don't go into it wanting a true Banjo Kazooie game. It's more like a build gooseberry fool to beat challenges style experience. Trouble in Paradise was a really fun and unique game that I spent quite a bit of time with. I barely remember anything about bar that annoying red strawberry floater who always came to my garden.

Plus you got Conker and Blast Corps. Jet Force Gemini is rated highly by many (I don't agree!)

Viva Pinata is wonderful but you might as well just buy it for like 2 quid and wait for BC.

Maybe I'll wait for JFG's controls to be patched, I loved the original but seeing it in video's put me off it.

Thanks for answers guys .

It was free with Games with Gold in November 2014 as well.
