Have any of you guys tried either of these Walking Dead games on PSVR? Review opinions seem pretty varied. I'm imagining that they must be bloody terrifying in VR :o .

If it looks like Ed Byrne then it's Banjo.

Saints and Sinners is supposed to be really great. Onslaught not so much.

Ta, guys! They look intriguing but I kinda know that that they'd totally spook me out. Might check out a few vids to see more of 'em.

Just pre-ordered the Quest 2 :msgreen: very excited! The only VR I've ever played was a quick wall climbing demo when they were out in shopping centres years ago.

Would anyone mind recommending the top 5 or so games that I should pick up to begin with?

Moss
Beat Saber
Pistol Whip
Walking Dead Saints and Sinners (must buy judging by previews and reviews on other formats)
Red Matter (for a Quest 2 enhanced game that really shows the power of mobile VR.

Other strong recommendations -

Tetris Effect
Shadow Point

I forgot Superhot. That’s pretty essential. Even with wonky tracking on PSVR it was great. On Quest I’m sure it’s loads better. Quite short, but lots of replayability if you like beating your own scores etc.

Let me know your username when you are set up if you fancy someone else to compare scores to on things like Beat Saber and Pistol Whip.

Why did Oculus pick Yodel.

Ah yes, I've not been paying too much attention but even I have noticed regular mention of Superhot.

Is Vader Immortal the must-have for Star Wars fans?

Superhot VR is amazing! My video I wheel out every time someone needs convincing.

And when I got my index controllers (finger tracking)

Immortal is pretty cool, and as a newcomer to VR, coming face to face with a life size Lord Vader is a hell of an experience. It's not much of a game though, as opposed to an interactive movie experience. While there's combat, you can't really die in it, and there's only ever one way forward, but it gives you some really entertaining set pieces, and sweeping across a planet surface, scaling the outside of an imperial base, then fighting off storm troopers with a blaster in one hand and a lightsabre in the other, is the closest you'll ever feel to being in Star Wars. It also has the lightsabre dojo side missions, which a good fun if you fancy some virtual sword training. I can't remember if the 3 episodes of Immortal ever go on any kind of bundle deal, but I'd definitely recommend them.

The other Star Wars experience you might want in VR will require a VR capable PC, either a link cable or virtual desktop to stream over a good WiFi connection, and a copy of Star Wars Squadrons, for some X-Wing vs Tie Fighter goodness.

What does Tetris Effect do in VR?

It does the same as the non VR version, but with more gimmick.

Yeah, I have it on PSVR. It’s good, but not a must for VR personally. A lot of people it consider it essential though.

Oculus do a 2hr play time max in 14 days refund policy if it helps you buy with confidence.

Sounds pretty good, I'll most likely pick it up.

I'd need to substantially upgrade my PC and figure out how to connect it for Squadrons. Perhaps something for next year!
