Can only imagine our reaction if Parksey had sent all the werewolves a "hey guys I'm an alpha too!" PM halfway through

Looking at the breakdown of roles at the end that would give the doppelganger roughly a 50/50 of ending up a human which I feel would be a bit anti-climactic for the doppelganger  Although I suppose they would know one other human from the start so not a completely wasted role.

Parksey using his power on Sat would have been absolutely brilliant. We’d have started getting second godfather kills, would have been chaos.

1) 24 hours is workable, I think.
2) Not everyone can get online during the hours the election happens, this is too punitive.

OrangeRKN has mentioned about running another game (after I trialled it in Are You A Supernatural?) with no Mayoral. Also we have Nun's game to look forward to at some stage.

It will arrive at some stage. But I think this game has taught me that I may need a co-host to be around to handle the day phase/monitor the thread in the day or something. I've always been planning to abolish the mayoral system regardless naturally leading to a later day phase deadline. But not being around at all for any queries/role clarifications if needed during the day wouldn't feel right, i've always said that when I host again I want it to be the best it can be.

One of my favourite things of this game was spotting the handshake message by Ob at the start of the game and immediately I knew he was a mason and I could trust him. I didn't need to PM to understand that, if anything I wish I never did as he got me killed.

The handshake thing was brilliant, you guys did well with that. Bit of a shame you didn't get a chance to make the most of your trust circle because Ob Blob was casually chatting to a wolf at the same time :slol:

This is a big issue too, tbf. People who are just friendly with each other or buddy bros just start chatting from the off with no strawberry floating clue as to anyones roles. It's dumb.

Discounting Satriales the fact that all of the wolves managed to post less than Jenuall who died Day 1 feels a bit dissapointing. I know i've always been a vocal critic of staying quiet as a tactic in this game, particularly during Moggy's infection game but it just feels like the number of people who complain about the village chasing it's tail and 'playing badly' when the wolves are barely posting always seems off to me. Like it's a game of social deduction where one team barely takes part so how is the village ever supposed to deduce anything, the reason we all fallback on seers to find wolves is because the wolves in the last couple of games have barely posted so the regular villagers have strawberry float all to work with.

It just makes games a race to see if the seer can check the barely active players before the wolves can get to them with their three kills a night.

Definitely agree that it's easy to point and laugh at the idiot humans who keep lynching each other but in reality it's bloody difficult to make any progress with so many background players. Repeating myself but I don't blame the wolves, if every player on the good side was a bit more active then the wolves would have nowhere to hide and would have to post more regularly.

First of all, I think it’s just as well Jenuall went Day 1 if he made 63 posts in a single day :slol:

Second of all, I agree it makes it a lot harder for the villagers but at the same time, we all have finite amount of time to contribute to the game especially in the day when we’re meant to be working (except for Jenuall apprently...) and what I find is you end up spending all the time you have for the game catching up on the Wolf group chat discussing the next moves.

But yeah, I think upping the name of posts required per 48 hours a little would help.

That post count script is wrong. There’s no way I made 418 posts in the game.

It was far far more.

It is hard to keep up with the game if you have to work during the day. While upping the required post count might solve one problem, it could create another by making the game too fast paced and difficult to keep up with.

It's better than 56 in 12 that's for sure!

I don't think the numbers are too bad but that's why I'm wondering if mandating mayoral votes is the way to go, at least it guarantees something for human team to look into and will force wolves into some difficult situations.

This was quite fast paced but I'm sure we've had slower. Maybe it's easier for people to have it more spaced out. There's no massive reason to have a mayor + deaths every day, apart from the risk of people losing interest. Maybe a mayor and lynch every other day would work fine?

We did have a cohesive unit! Me, OB, Qikz, Pedz, Moggy and Nun were all in contact from Day 2.

Werewolf kills on Qikz and Pedz reduced our numbers, and OB couldn't resist the lure of the Sexy Gang.

Myself, Nun and Moggy obviously managed to last a fair while. The only Mason not in the group was DML who either wasn't noticing our repeated hidden references to handshakes or we just hide them too well (though that's how most of us found each other).

The main problem was the sheer number of players and the fact we could only Seer one at a time. Apart from the luck of picking the right name out of the hat, not sure what else we could have done. I think we did quite well given it was a very limited power after the first two days. We enabled Moggy to be as effective as he was. Just a shame BlueEyes was inactive as I'm sure we'd have been able to bring him in.

Don't hate us just because (about 10% of you) ain't us.

Also with regards to the Doppleganger, as I mentioned in the death thread, I basically took it a chance to get one free, foolproof Seer-ing in. I had immediately had five candidates in mind

Cora and OB - for the GRCade Mediocre Championshop Football Triumvirate. I felt they would have been a good choice for buddying up with. I didn't realise that although j went with OB, he'd already decided to cost up to Evil Cora. Would have been interesting how I would have been received as a Doppleganger wolf.

Sykes - Always talks a lot of sense and is a good player. I thought it would be useful to 100% know his role and also work with him

OrangeRKN and Moggy - I went back through the thread before the game started, to see who was posting a lot. These two were very active, and I thought it would be useful to know the identity of people who would be so vocal especially in the early game. Or in Moggy's case, the entire game.

Again, it would have been interesting how I would have been received as a Doppleganger'd Seer. I presume Moggy would trust me as I would have approached him day time Day One (like I did with OB) with his unique role name and info. In hindsight with one Seer down, this would have been a good shout.

I'm glad I didn't just get another human, though I would have gained info either way. At first I thought I'd lucked out getting the Mason, but I didn't realise how many special roles there were, and that 80% of the other players were also Masons.

Yeah the role name would have probably been enough for me to trust you, as long as it was prior to FatDaz revealing the roles. After that then I am not sure I would have fully trusted you, the role info wasn't all that hard to guess once you had the name. And I would have had no idea about what a Doppleganger was.
