Rex, out of interest are they bluetooth or cabled headphones?

If bluetooth, how close are you to the console? I get break up on my Sony headphones on PS4 sometimes and I think its cos I sit at the max range for them from my console as I've had it happen with 2sets plus a different make headphones which bluetooth into the tv directly

I cant move the sofa nearer to tv just cos, reasons, but maybe yours is the same reason?

Bluetooth and I'm around 8ft max from console. Hadn't noticed it on other games though which made me wonder whether it was a specific AC issue.

Do we know what the DLC and whatnot is you get included in the gold as opposed to the standard edition? Normally I’d just opt for the standard edition but no idea what’s included in the gold edition/if its even worth it?

Gold edition is season pass (Ireland druids expansion and Siege of Paris expansion) and an extra quest based on beowulf

That actually sounds pretty tempting as far as DLC goes! Do we have a release date for it? If its going to be well into next year I might just buy the DLC at a later date.

You’ll probably save money by buying the Gold edition with season pass. Got mine from CDKeys - £70 instead of £85. It’s a lot, but you get a ton of content.

I always buy the Gold editions of Assassin’s Creed. The DLC is usually sizeable and of good quality, sometimes going off to unusual but interesting places (Jack the Ripper!).

Everyone will get the Beowulf quest, but season pass owners get it straight away. The two major expansions are due next year, in Spring and Summer. That should just about give me time to complete the main game - I like to take my time, explore and do everything!

There’s also loads of free content to be added for everyone throughout the year. I think they do a really good job on this.

I've not noticed anything in the 8 hours I've played so far with a wired headset on Series X. Although I am deaf in my right ear so all the distortion might be on the right headphone

I'm just on TV audio with my PS4 dialogue issues

I tried remapping the controls yesterday. It seemed to be working pretty well with attacks on square/triangle and ping on hold r1, but I found I could no longer throw dead bodies (these controls are not explicitly remappable and seem to be linked to other controls in a way that is unclear) and I got stuck when I had to hold interact so I had to change back :(

I wish they'd included some presets rather than just default and DIY.

England is cool to explore anyway. It's really small, which is a little surprising, and really dense. It actually feels a lot like Oblivion (around the settlement at least) with all the forest and roman ruins.

A little disappointed that you can't cut down monks and other civilians during raids without the threat of desync. I know they're trying to make you the "good guys" but it's a bit weird having vikings being like "we must only kill the soldiers, leave those monks alone" when you're literally burning down a monastery and stealing all its valuables

PushSquare have published their review of the PS4 version and assessed the game as 7/10. They said that "you'll find an amazing Assassin's Creed game — arguably one of the best in the entire series" although "the countless visual bugs of Assassin's Creed Valhalla really hold the experience back on PS4".

First area (one you start at) 100%ed in terms of treasures, mysteries and artifacts.

Interestingly enough there's unmarked area where you can go back to main characters old home, if you examine all stuff via Odin's thingy then go in and take a seat on chair there you get XP.

I've yet to unlock hidden blades too :shifty: Going to do main story to unlock new abilities and areas, I wanna explore more!

Definitely screen tearing in some cut scenes but other than that I can't complain. It's a looker for sure.

Set up 2 step verification.
The only thing I can think of is I used CDkeys to buy the Berserker DLC....

How much sailing is in this and is it still as strawberry floating boring as it was in Black Flag? Tempted to get it.

Not loads so far. About 10 hours in and just left Norway and prob spent about 20 mins in a boat in total.

It's more of a method to attack camps and island hopping rather than sailing the high sea's. Don't think there is any boat vs boat mechanics (not that I've seen anyway)

Not a lot and there doesn't seem to be any large bodies of water and just rivers. You can set the boat off and tell it to go to the target as you would when on a horse.
