The BBC has reported that some of Capacom's server data has been accessed, with some being destroyed and some digitally scrambled by a hacking group who are demanding a ransom. Potentially the hackers have accessed information including customer data such as email addresses, names, birthdays and phone numbers.

The incident started on 2 November and at the time Capcom indicated that no customer data had been accessed, but subsequently this has proven not to be the case.

"Hack-all-gone!"
